so glad you found another rda you enjoy. might be looking to pick one up soon. been getting along well with the airflow system in my jazz rda by van&del, but that machining on the absolute looks a cut above nearly everything on the market. these videos make great reference for those breathing life back into the squonk scene your tips and opinions are always thorough and inspire the love of the art. keep puffing
Nice! It has the other thing that my NarDa has that has always bothered me, no lock on the cap. It's not an issue until you have to change the cotton or switch it to a different mod, but it's something that I would expect to have on any RDA that I would get now. I love my NarDa even with it's faults, but I would think that someone would use it as a starting point in a design and make a better version, by fixing all the issues.
Never bothered me personally, how many times per day do you switch mods? I probably take my atty off once every 3 days at most so it's no bother at all, also i dont get how it makes any difference at all with changing cotton, locking top cap doesn't make it any easier to place or remove the top cap and that's all you need to do when replacing cotton.. the only thing it helps is removing the rda from a mod but again how often do you really do that? I find what i like and stick to it, i dont know anybody who swaps mods or rdas several times a day unless they are testing out different atties and even then they decide on a favourite at some point and stick with that one so again its an unnecessary feature when all is said and done really, its nice to have but makes no difference to how an rda performs and certainly is no deal breaker.
@@MDM1992 Thanks! I don't remove the RDA that often and only change the cotton when needed, but it can be fiddly when doing either. It's an old RDA and things have improved over the years and I would think that if the NarDa was produced today that Nar Mods would probably have incorporated some of those ideas in his design.
I don't usually hear a whistle no matter how many others may complain, but I have a high frequency hearing loss and haven't cared for any hearing aids to date. I'll be fitted for another pair on the 22nd, so we'll see how it goes this time. I also have tinnitus and the high pitched ringing never stops, so those two things could be why I don't hear it. I've been waiting for improvements in tinnitus canceling which has been in the works for years, but none so far have been effective at all, so we'll see how that goes this time, too. $209 for an atty is a LOT of money! I tried RDAs and Squonk Mods and never tasted any difference, but I have tasted a difference with some RTAs, RDTAs and SubOhm Tank RBAs. So I keep the lesser ones as spares for vaporgeddon, and I have my RDAs and Squonkers to fall back on if needed, but I won't be buying that one! 🤣 Maybe I should get one to whistle at the ladies? 😝😁 Two videos in two days. Nice comeback, Todd. Looking forward to your next ones.
Nice to see a well made rda review haven't seen one for a while, maybe the quirks can be put right when they release the absolute 2? Would that be called the absolutely?
No, the elephant was the whistle and as for the exterior looking similar, afraid I'll disagree with you on that one, it looks nothing like those ones IMO.
This doesn't even look remotely like a hadaly, if i were to compare it's looks to any rda's it would be the 5 year anniversary narda on the outside, with something like a wasp nano deck on the inside but this is a massive improvement on the build deck that is welcomed and literally nothing is new in vaping anymore and hasn't been for a long time, they all are improvements on/inspried by older designs and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, none of them are patented designs and everything has been done multiple times before, i still use and love my original narda but it is a bit of a pain in the ass to build with fused claptons, i just wish these unkwn rdas were more available because it seems i have a better chance at plaiting piss than getting my hands on one lol
Wow, when these reviews go public you get some errr “diverse’ comments . Husband….😂😂😂 Anyway, for the squonk revival to crush all competitor styles we need lots and lots of nice, well machined quality RDA/RSA’s so this is most welcome (if inevitably near impossible to obtain). The recess for coil leg clipping is something I’ve wanted to see for years, and finally we have one. Retro, when done well, is always a good thing in my view. Anyway, thank you for the detailed, objective and balanced review as always.
Unfortunately you lost me at the price but I did carry on watching as it's a beautiful, classic looking RDA. One to add to the second hand market list.
He very clearly looked at his narda and said "lets make this with an easier build deck for complex coils" it literally looks almost identical to the 5a narda, just has a more modern build deck. Definitely overpriced too considering it could be classed as a fancy wasp nano lol
