vestiaire collective has a lot of 'high end' bags under 400 usd. She said she spent 3500/5=700. personal resale is usually 40% if they're perfect. She brought in stained bags in 'not the strongest styles' meaning the girl failed to realize as a 'fashion blogger' what would resale and hold value.

He should have sold the ring, got all the money, and opened his own business. Now he's pawned it for £33k loan on a £200k ring, for a share in someone else's business. He wont pay the loan back before the interest kicks in, and will either lose the ring, or end up paying through his nose for the loan. Foolish.

He starred in another brit show called dickensons real deal, as a dealer\appraiser years before Posh Pawn came about. Ironically I discovered Ian here and just by happenstance found him on the other show that he has been featured on for decades now. I'm from US but apparently dickensons real deal is still airing over the pond to this day and all the re-runs are here on YT so you can see Ian in his younger years on up to present. I just love his personality and on the other show he is the most honest and generous with his bids. He needs his own reality show where his shop\boutique is featured though, I can't get enough!😂

Much better to sell them individually. I’m in a few Facebook groups where you can get a reasonable amount for bags, although LV Gucci and Chanel sell best.

They think that they don't depreciate and are worth near retail. Luxury goods sold new in retail shops are marked up by a huge margin. Used second hand bags , especially if they aren't in mint condition and show signs of use, are worth a fraction of retail. Pawn shops only offer a percentage of second hand value.

@@BlackStump172 that’s because the bag collecting industry is incredibly unstable. It’s all about current fashions, how rare it is, the colour, the designer ect ect. Just because the retail price is 5k doesn’t mean it’s worth anywhere near that on the resale market especially it’s been used.

She was a time waster, I wouldn't have wasted my time researching her bags for the amount of profit that would have been in them. If she invested in the right type of bags and kept them clean then she might have got a more realistic price. She's supposed to be a fashion vlogger but her taste in fashion was appalling.

That’s actually not true. There have been episodes of this very show where that very statement has been proven wrong; it completely depends on the designer & style, as well as how well looked after they’ve been as to how much they’re worth later down the line. None of those handbags were particularly ‘good’ designer brands RE; resale value.

I remember watching this when it was aired on TV its like observing how posh folk still find themselves at their version of cash converters good old cashies lol except no tracksuited toothless customers arriving on a stolen bicycle with a carrier bag of nicked x box games. However can you imagine seeing Tyrone from the estate been happy to wait a few days for them to look at the figures before getting back to him with an offer?? Me neither I have seen the drama caused when they have to wait whilst they have their ID checked. Lol.

If you are American, then the ratio between pounds to dollars is 4/3. For instance, if you bought something that costs 1,000 pounds, then 1000/x=4/3 -> x=4000/3 -> 1,333.33 American dollars or $1,333.33. If you are British and perhaps trying to watch an American pawn shop show and trying to convert from dollars to pounds, then the ratio is 3/4. the African couple are beautiful but little bit naive or stupid or just James's stunt, going around with 200k diamond ring in his pocket and not knowing the value or the price of it. please do 4-5 pawn shops before you sell or furthermore get a proper jeweler to value & ensure your rock before you consult Jamey boy, pretty but beware

That ferrari even with the fan belt service and a bit of refurb is work over £100k. Currently 1 in that exact spec in the UK for £149k with 24,000 miles.
