The inspiration that man is to everyone dealing with cancer not to mention those healthy that they too can continue their passions no matter what they deal with. That could be the worst performance and still would get a standing ovation due to living his life to the fullest and for what he did knowing his life was on the line.
Soken is an absolute legend. He battled cancer for 8 months while still producing music and then he comes out and memes infront of millions with zero f*cks given.
@BIGBOYLIVES he announced that he was diagnosed with cancer in march of last year and continued working throughout the 7-8 months that he was in the hospital. his cancer is now in remission, thankfully. the dev team had no idea other than yoshida.
Mayby he was so happy expecialy because he was let out of his boring hospital room finally and was able to some fun :3. He probably had nothing there except work the feedback from fans to it and the memes.
After listening to the closing speech .. about sokens struggle with cancer.. not telling anyone.. to not impact the dev. team in their work.. and asking his best friend Yoshi-P to please not tell anyone.. I see this in a totally different light. Him standing there and performing the goofy lahee was not just endearing and lovable. It was a celebration of life and to have fun and enjoy life while you have it.
I had to look it up myself, and I'm pretty sure you got her mixed up with another Japanese pianist named Keiko. This is Keiko Osaki. Still though, she looks amazing for 39 years old herself.
@@ViewTube_Emperor_of_Mankind Asian women all look in their 20s until they hit like 50-60, lol. Then suddenly they become progressively tinier grandmas.
@@aion6151 googling Keiko Osaki was not enough, same name for a 89 year old olympic diver :) But "Keiko Osaki pianist" I could find her. Born 1982 makes much more sense and was the age I suspected :D Thanks for letting me know.
Just imagine how happy he is in these moments. After over half a year of pain and hardship and being alone in a hospital room, he's able to be on the FanFest stage with his friends and colleagues again doing silly stuff like this. #WelcomeBackSoken
@@HolySenpaiii He revealed he was diagnosed with cancer last year right when the pandemic ramped up and didn’t tell anyone on the development team. Luckily he’s in remission now, but it was extremely emotional for everyone there.
I mean, was it really sad though? the cancer is in full remission, soken's gonna be ok, that's incredible news! We should be celebrating that cheering for his recovery instead of feeling sorry for him. Not wanting people to feel sorry for him is the reason he didn't tell anyone to begin with.
One thing I really like is that Soken is being a goofball, but when you watch the entire long fall performance, he doesn't even look up at the sheet music once. He knows it so well he knows we to fool around and when to play at the best moments.
Soken and Keiko have such a lovely chemistry performing together. Love that she has now finally accepted the chaos that is Soken and is not as phased as she used to be.
The community - dev team relationship is one of the reasons why I started to play FF14 and I'm not gonna lie I don't regret it at all, I've never feel so welcomed in a video game and it's one of those rare cases where I feel the dev team actually cares about the players Thank you so much Soken
I know someone already said that Soken looks like he's living his life to the fullest and he really doesn't care how he looks to a lot of people, as long as he's making them happy. And on the 2nd day of FanFest, we all realised why. What a hero of a man. What an idol to look up to. This is kind of person I want to be as I grow up. Despite how tough life got for him, he did everything in his power to keep making content for the community that he loved. And by the gods, do we love him too.
I love it this is epic 😄😄😄😄😄😄Soken greatest in the world god bless him 🙏♥soo much talent !! I'm so glad he is still with us he is treasure we should cherish ❤
1:38 Lmfao that wonky note always gets me. Keiko just sitting there trying not to laugh must be soooo life consuming. All these legendary shitposts🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
As I listen to this at work, I'm trying (and failing) not to laugh out loud in front of my coworkers. Bless this man, who has so much joy to give in spite of the circumstances
Keiko and Soken playing together is an absolute joy to watch. I hope they post at least parts of the musical performances from Fanfest so people who couldn’t get tickets can experience some of that, especially whatever shenanigans Soken gets up to.
Can someone please mod his version of the La Hee song to replace the original song in the game? Or better yet. Squeenix, just make an orchestrion roll for it. Would definitely buy.
i am not joking when i say this man and his performances is how i found out about ffxiv, and why picked it up then, too. now i'm absolutely in love with the game and all the amazing music he has composed.
i love that you have the twitch chat in these, makes the videos SO MUCH better. but PLEASE for the love of goddess, get BTTv extension for ur twitch >.
I already knew Soken's a legend as a composer, but this is definitely taking it to a whole new level. Props to the pianist for going along with his shenanigans. I've got some new respect for the man X)
I want, Soken Sized, balls. but I can say, hitting my 10th year of remission I have some kinda levels of dont give a fuck, but this level of dont Give a Fuck is inspiring . Legend!
Seeing him be a giant agent of chaos for two or three sketches in a row and then busting out that A Long Fall duet and reminding everyone that he's a Master of the Craft who happens to be taking the time to enjoy himself...
this was funny. but, i applaud his zero-fucks-given moments. cancer, is a bitch. man lived with no fucks given. i learned a thing from this; sometimes, you just gotta not care and just be you.
