@@ComicBookMuscle imo, it wouldn’t be that cool if he was sent to Earth as a baby. I’m not even sure how they’d explain his family having the means to send him to Earth. (I guess Lara-El is going to have to do some illegal “sciencing.) But since it seems like he’ll be a little older, its’s a good way to give him some shared experiences with the downtrodden earthlings I assume he’s going to be hanging with.
If we are you in the route with ___ being more evil/corrupt, it would be cool to see Kryptons being responsible in creating horrible experiments, like maybe an Absolute Cyborg but with Kryptonian tech, or multiple Doomsday clones that are designed for as supersoldiers of Krypton. Love your content, and I hope to read the full comic soon 😁
Thanks! Mad scientist experiments would be a really strong way to make the “anything in the name of progress” critique. Doomsday would be cool or I’d really like to see Absolute Eradicator.
Correct. And it seems like there’s not even a Jor-El in the comic. Something about that Darkseid switched the naming conventions of Krypton for some reason 🤷 But Jor is “going under.” Mining for sunstone maybe? Bleeding Cool said he’s a farmer, but maybe they thought this Mohawk fellow was Jor.
Really like the look. The sunstone look is pretty different. And I'm intrigued by the immediate focus on Lara instead of Jor-El. The whole teasing of "Smallville on Krypton" makes sense now, his birth parents are farmers. I expect Jonathan and Martha not to be now.
Thanks! Same here. I felt about Superman the way you felt about WW. Wasn't really excited about it at first. But the more I read about it, the more excited I get. Batman sold out, Wonder Woman sold out, Superman's going to sell out. DC is hot right now!
Was this dropped at NYCC today? Definitely some decompressed storytelling going on. Looks like Jason Aaron is coming from the science fiction angle that’s one of the pillars of Superman storytelling. Art looks great!
DC has previews of all the All In and Absolute comics on their app. You can also see the Absolute Superman pages here: www.reddit.com/r/AbsoluteUniverse/s/IapvU1jHyx It’s gonna be a good one!
ngl , I hate these versions of Justice League , it isn't as bad as the injustice version but still . We are at a point where DC needs the old classic version , not another edgy re-imagination to make them cooler ! That's what Zach Snyder tried to do and he failed miserably !
I thought it was going to be like that, but in my opinion that's not what Absolute Batman is like. It's not edgy, it's just putting him up against tougher odds. There's still the All In stuff in the normal continuity, but I'm preferring the Absolute Universe (but it's still early in it's lifespan, just one comic in after all)
