Oh man just finished this book. So much revelation wisdom and knowledge coming out of Andrew Murray. I am being honest when I say that scarcely few Christian's will even be able to get ahold of this and put it into true practice in their life. This is RICH. Real rich. This is not milk. This is REAL spiritual meat and potatoes.
I've always been interested in the meat and potatoes. Even when I was first saved, without proper guidance I began my walk in the OT in Ezekiel and Jeremiah! I should have started with John to get nurtured with the milk of God's loving nature!
This was one of the most useful teachings I have come across in 6 years of my new birth in Christ which was today June 24, 2014 in a parking lot in Austin, Texas. 🙏🏽🕊❤️ God bless you saints.

Andrew Murray is my favorite Author, I am so glad I found these Audio Books. I have been looking for them for a long time, thank you Holy Spirit for leading me to this channel. Thank you Mr. Seaton Williams, you have done an excellent job reading this book. I felt the anointing as you read each chapter. My heart was deeply touch by the tone of your anointed voice.
Years ago when I was a new Christian I heard about this book. Someone told me it was excellent. I never did get it or read it but instead I fell back into a life of sin and wretched living for many many years! I was a teenager when I asked Jesus into my heart but turned my back on him. I am now 54 and all these years later God never gave up on me. I have recently deleted my Facebook and am seeking God. I feel like I lack the Holy Spirit and it's so hard to love others. This audio book came up in my RU-vid feed a few days ago and I was stunned. I've never forgotten the title because it was clear to me it spoke truth. I've been listening to it all morning and I know God has led me back to this book because of the things I struggle with. I'm so greatful to have this right now. Whoever posted it thanks so much. I've shared it with my daughter and sister who are also struggling!

Praise the Lord for His mercy. Don't wander away again, but stay in the fold, let the good Shepherd feed you, and surrender to His will now and forever from this point forward!
Praise God! I had the same experience coming to God in the early eighties and backsliding a few years later into a horrific lifestyle of which he kept me and never left me, and eventually thirty years later caused my repentance and return back to him.
Your story perfectly reflects mine... Thank God He is Faithful even when we are not, He WILL pull us out of "the slog of despondency" clean us up and set us again on "The Way" if we do not faint ( give up.).

Or, are these outward things (masks, etc.), simply things that others are doing to us that we have to endure? I think the real struggle is submitting to the Lord in the issues of our heart, and what other people do, as long as it doesn't cause us to disobey the Lord, are minor afflictions (compared to what the disciples submitted to, we've seen nothing yet). I think we have to choose our battles wisely, and be sure we're focusing on the things the Lord cares about most.

I really appreciate this upload. This is a book I read & re-read in my early days as a young Christian in the early 1980s. This book as in most of Murray's writings stands head and shoulders above the rest
@@ThePANDA1885 To be perfectly honest, I would not recommend any. I prefer to read the bible as much as possible. Nothing can help in my road to life eternal as much as the holy scriptures. I did enjoy Murray's writings in my early days as a new believer, but I now think most of his teachings are very religious and not very practical.

It brought me out of deep involvement in the occult, instructed me directly on what I needed to do to be set free, and is a constant source of guidance and love. Can you answer me boost is good for the disciples to abandon their children???their poor wives would have to do what????how could the wives possibly work and look after the children at the same time???I do not believe Jesus wants us to abandon our families. He wants us to walk in spirit so that we learn to truly love our families and surrender everything to Jesus. Like for example I rely on Jesus to look after me and my family but I think I am responsible to teach my daughter about Jesus and love her. Abandoning our children feels immature to me and selfish. You don t care about what you r putting others through bc of your abandonment. How can this not be a sin?????

What a wonderful book! The whole of scripture is summed up in chapter 9. Everything else falls in place when we realize that the fruit of the Spirit is love. So many like to attribute Spiritual fruit as works. If we have a love that can only come from the creator of love through His Spirit, our works will show it. You're not going to intentionally hurt those you love. You're not going to steal from those you love. You're not going to gossip about those you love... The whole purpose of Christ was because of the Father's love for us. He came to reconcile us to Himself. Everything Christ gave and everything He did was for OTHERS. Believing that our works play a part in gaining or maintain in our salvation takes love out of the picture. If I help the needy or feed the hungry; If I help widows and orphans or assist my elderly neighbors because I'm supposed to; If I preach the gospel because "it's a command", who am I really working for? Am I doing good for others or for the benefit of keeping my salvation in tact? Is it not ultimately for my benefit? Without love, I am nothing. (1 Corinthians 13:2). Ask God to fill each of us with the kind of love that can only come from Him. This kind of love is capable of loving even the worst of sinners. Just like we all were when Christ gave Himself for us. We often think that God gives us commands through His Word just to control us and subject us to His will without understanding that His commands are simply to protect us from the consequences of sin, waywardness, and rebellion. When we begin to realize the importance of walking in obedience, we can then have true freedom in the Spirit. The million-dollar question: Will you go to Heaven when you die? Here’s a quick test. Have you ever told a lie, stolen anything, or used God’s name in vain? Jesus said, “Whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” Have you looked with lust? Will you be guilty on Judgment Day? If you have done those things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart. The Bible warns that if you are guilty you will end up in Hell. God, who the Bible says is “rich in mercy,” sent His Son to suffer and die on the cross for guilty sinners. We broke God’s Law, but Jesus paid our fine. That means He can legally dismiss our case. He can commute our death sentence:“For God so loved the world that He gave His only son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Then He rose from the dead and defeated death. So true. We, as rebellious beings, dont understand or accept what was commanded for our best interest. We accept the concept of authority as parents, over our children, but reject the authoity of God.
Aneko Press, this book is different from the book "Absolute Surrender" that I know and have been blessed by. What is the difference? The original begins with Ben Adad, King of Syria, conquering Samaria and telling King Ahab, your silver and your gold are mine. What is the difference in this edition?
Hi James. thank you for asking about this. We shifted the chapters around to an order that seem to be more logical than the original. The content is otherwise the same, outside of the updates. We tried to keep the content as true to the original as possible, but update words and phrases to more modern English.
Romans 8:15-16 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:/inspiration+Whenever we are in bondage to someone or something, we live in a state of fear. One good example is what happens when people get bound to credit card debt. We get so bound up in our debt that we live in a constant state of fear every time the phone rings. We believe it's one of our debt collectors. Every time a bill comes in, we are afraid we're not going to be able to pay it. Debt is a horrible master. Any kind of slavery breeds fear. A slave is under constant fear and constant alarm, but when we are freed in Christ, that fear goes away. In this passage Paul tells us that we don't have to be slaved to fear because we are not slaves to God. We are adopted to God, by God and with that adoption comes love and affection. Children who are adopted by a parent don't feel fear; they don't feel like slaves. They feel accepted. They feel wanted. They feel loved. God literally has taken us as strangers and brought us into His family. We are not slaves. We become His children even though, by birth we had no claim to Him, He still has taken us in and now we're under his protection and we're under his care and as such we obey him as a child. We can cry out to him as a child cries out to a father, Abba. God is our father above all things. Yes, He's a holy God but He is still our father. Even though our earthly father might be a great and powerful man on this earth, even though he may run huge corporations or be the president of the country, to us he is still "daddy." Paul helps us understand that in this passage. This great and almighty Lord of all creation is our daddy, who loves us and longs to protect us and we do not have to fear any longer once we become one of His children /prayer+ Father, I thank You for making me your child. I am thankful that I can come to You in sincerity just as I would come to my earthly father. I thank You that You accept me for who I am, that you've adopted me as one of Your own and that You love me as a father. Thank you for the love that You show me and adopting me as your family and making me one of Your own. Amen.

I do not know your situation or the reason that you cannot be healed. I do believe that sometimes we go a long time without being healed, even as we see in scripture such as the woman with an issue of blood. Also, I do think that some people are never healed, but they go through life with very difficult situations but that is because God wants to teach us a lesson in long suffering and trusting him. I get it Katie I to cry out to Him for healing or to just hear His voice & know He has heard me. Neither as of yet , I suspect we just keep going & keep trying. If it be His will I pray for your healing

Dear Tina. I'd love to be able to encourage you. The Lord does care, very much. John 3:16 says _For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life._ He loves us in such a way that He sent His own Son to die for us! There is such a thing as surrendering to Him though. That is our job. If He wants to allow us to go through certain difficult situations, then our position must be to surrender to Him. Trust Him to do whatever He knows is best. Think of Job, how much he suffered, and yet had to learn the lesson of complete surrender to God. Which he did. And then, and only then, did God really bless Job.
