"Absolutely Disgusting": Doctor Fatally Poisons Patients and Colleague 

bernadette: The same thing happened to me, over 34 years ago, with many of the same details as your experience. And the doctor said same thing- you couldn't have heard. I heard the instruments being named, the name of another doctor who came in (while I was 'under'), all things I hadn't known about before surgery - conversations about me and my condition.

Definitely tell every surgeon and anesthesiologist from now on. Have it listed on every medical chart too. I'm so sorry that happened. My worse fear when going into surgery. I tell them that too!

I woke up in my first surgery. I am totally Deaf so I couldn’t even tell them what they were saying. I couldn’t see anything either. I have had many surgeries since and no issues because I tell them before the surgery.

My 47 year old daughter cannot listen to the song, “Every Breath I Take” by the Police because she wake lucid enough during a tymp &tube surgery when she was 7, 40 years ago and this was being played in the suite!

But it's a fact, and you can generally find predators wherever there are vulnerable victims. it's like pedophiles going to work in daycare's, schools, churches with children's programs. And people with Munchausen syndrome (they like to make people sick and then nurse them back to health, or put them out of their "misery") Are attracted to working in hospitals, nursing homes, home health.

Doctors cover for each other. After a major back surgery, an orthopedic doctor told me they did my back surgery wrong. After that appointment, the doctor never wanted to see me again. Recently, I got referred to another pain specialist doctor, and they did an MRI. I still have minimal spinal fluid leakage. I gave up on doctors.

@@msv8180Dr. Ortiz was found guilty last week and he is scheduled to be sentenced on July 22, 2024. He deserves to spend the rest of his life in prison and have his assets divided among the ones he harmed..especially for Dr. Kaspar. His actions really shook the people here who use this facility.

More people need to take back responsibility for their medical care. A doctor, ANY doctor, is in an advisory position. YOU make the final decisions. If your provider isn't cooperating with your questions/ concerns, then find another provider.

Good for you! Drs can be very arrogant sometimes. Not all of them of course. But it takes some good questioning to weed the bad ones out. I was transferred to another Dr when mine left the area. At my first appt with him he began questioning me in strange ways that raised my defenses. I am on a mild anti-anxiety medication and have been for years. He knows nothing of my history as to why nor did he ask. Unbeknownst to me he lowered my RX count and also drug tested me for multiple street drugs. That’s right. At 68 I stand on street corners to make huge amounts of money by selling these little pills to supplement my retirement. He must have been very disappointed at the results of testing me. In addition, at that first appointment he said in a very derogatory tone, “so what, are you a nurse or something?” He said it was because of the terms I was using. Feeling threatened much? I actually was a surgical unit secretary for 20 years and must have absorbed too much medical terminology, part of my job. What an arrogant jerk! I held my own fine. But when I saw my lab results on the portal I went ballistic on him and fired him. Later I discovered my medication dosage had been lowered from 3 per day to 2. But I had the last laugh on him as my previous Dr had doubled the strength of my dosage. That was so I could cut them in half and have enough to cover me for my 2 month annual vacation in FL. He just never changed it back because he knew and trusted me. So after I decided on a new primary, at my first appt he asked me how he could be the Dr I needed him to be and what things were very important to me. I had just one word. Trust. I would gladly trust him if he would trust me, which meant I could ask any questions I needed to. He said “of course, that goes without saying, unless I find something to doubt about you in which case I will give you the benefit of the doubt and ask you about it first”. I have had a great relationship with him now for several years. Is it any wonder that he no longer takes on new patients? He is well respected by all. People need to remember that the Dr works for them, they are not there for the Dr. It is their right to stand up for themselves and in this day and age, being your own health advocate with anyone who treats you may save your life. Stay informed, well read and understand fully your diagnosis(ses) so you can ask intelligent questions and no one takes advantage of you.

Cannula fitted before even having been examined, hour later , blood had seeped into it. Doctor took me to an isolated room . Asked me if I would not want to be resuscitated if I had a further chest pain, and became unconscious . I said, if “I die I’ll let you know. “ . She came back hours after and asked me just to sign for any surgery or the same form . “ Just to,make us not responsible , it’s all legal “ I did not sign. 10 years gone ,still get chest pains , but get through it by my will to not panic. You might get something to calm you, forever.

That’s great to do all you can unfortunately sometimes surgery is needed for people previously healthy like as a result of an accident. This man is sick and needs to go to jail forever.

I recommend that everyone care for and keep all of their body parts. I can't believe that people give up their gallbladders and their appendix so easily. It's because of what we don't know.

Unfortunately things don’t always go as planned. Some surgeries if postponed can have a negative impact on the final outcome. I waited 6 years thinking that technology would catch up with my condition. It didn’t and now instead of tendons I am looking at a total shoulder replacement. Best wishes to you. I’m praying for a miracle but making arrangements for the surgery so that I can get my life back as best as possible. Had I known I would’ve done things differently. ❤

Gaslighting is prevalent throughout the medical field on all levels. I saw wide scale abuse as did others employed but little was done to prevent it. Patient beware. White coats and scrubs do not authorize perverted or mutational access abuse to your body.

I guarantee staff and colleagues recognized this doctor as odd and even dangerous way before patients started dying on the table.

Last year an oral surgeon broke my jaw, which resulted in me losing 4 perfectly fine teeth and part of my jaw. There's even more to it, But it would be way too much for me to explain. I'm still dealing with the consequences and will probably have like long problems because of this

I hope you have figured out how to stay free from dental problems by this point. If not, you might want to check out Dr. Ellie Phillips and Barbara O'Neill here on RU-vid. One takes a unique approach on readily available products combined specifically to create a protocol that actually reverses cavities, and the other one has a more natural approach. Nutrition is also important. Mark Burhenne is another. i'm not sure which method is hands down the best, but it's very hard to get to age 66 without having dental issues in today's society. And no dentist that I know of will clue you in on real helpful preventive much less cavity reversing interventions that don't Put big money into their pockets. Mouth breathing is another culprit in screwing up our teeth. Dr. Elie said that her method has kept her teeth so clean and pristine but she hasn't had to have a dental cleaning in decades.

I was gaslit for years. And I found the right doctor last year and she saved my life because cancer was spreading… it was almost too late. I am almost in remission thanks to her. And she has sent me to specialists that are investigating my other health issues (autoimmune, chronic pain and fatigue, etc). Just keep looking for the right doctor and don’t give up!!

I'm similar with chronic pain, autoimmune, though I can't get a rheumatologist to try and diagnose me. Have gastro issues as well, and chronic pancreatitis. My gallbladder was removed after exploratory surgery and it probably didn't need to come out and left Werth me permenant pain in the area. Burning mouth syndrome from wisdom tooth extraction. Toomany to list here. Feel like the near entirety of the medical community have failed me. It's so hard now to trust our even go to other doctors.

My new doctor is 100 percent sure I have an autoimmune disease and autoimmune runs in my family. It took me 16 years to find the right doctor. I am finally being referred to the right specialists to investigate all my health issues. Please don’t give up!

I'm terrified of Doctors. I go on auto pilot when I have to see one. Mine now doesn't care for any of his patients. Saw a survey that asked if he cared he only got two stars. Been through hell with him at the helm. He talks to himself and writes notes to himself and that's about all he does.😮

Yes, we’ve been invited at a family gathering to a friend’s house. Kids playing together… The guest, a doctor who started bragging to my husband, after both had some scotch on the rocks…I overheard him saying: “Patients, being desperate to live, think I’m God, dress in my whites, they believe anything I tell them to do, any surgery, to bad my partner has morals, I bring double more money into our clinic than him”. I never interacted with him after that “tipsy”, scotch fueled slip of his tongue. My (now) ex still keeps a close friendship with that doc, 20 years since…That private bragging made me apprehensive to trust any doctor’s practice or recommendation. Watch for sharks… in the water

It happened to me 4.5 years ago 😞 nobody got fired. They ended up putting me under general anesthesia because I was moving too much supposedly. I was in so much pain, I remember that, but not the moving.

​@@viviandaviss you can also order your own blood work without doctors order too. If you choose to take bloodwork ordered by your doctor you should ask for a copy. Some hospitals has patient portal where patients can access their results.

Yep I went into my nurse practitioners office with a list of blood work I wanted to have done and she said basically no and then when I proved further she said well we don't have them listed in our system. Then she said to me you might need a more of a functional medicine doctor which I found out after looking it up was a fancy way of saying holistic. I don't know what's with these doctors that think we're just a collection of Parts but they don't seem to understand that when something goes wrong inside everything else will follow suit if you don't fix it. Cold- well, vast majority of bacteria like being nice and warm so they can spread their joys around and cooler temperatures keep this under a bit of control. Fix- it's called layers..... add some more if needed. Uncomfortable- hospitals are filled with mass produced medical equipment and unless a patient has a bed sore or at high risk for one, they aren't going to be "getting" a semi more comfortable mattress. Fix- sorry, you're not going to want a more "comfortable" mattress cause they are noisy as frick. Loud- well, one, less surfaces create less hiding places for bacteria while at the same time having less surfaces to "absorb" sound. Asking these questions about a hospital? Are you sure you aren't not neurotypical? Only ask cause I'm not neurotypical and go through these questions myself before remembering "oh yeah, it's a hospital but I shouldn't be here for more than 6 days".

@lesliehyde I don't know about this new vocabulary word "neurotypical." In my experience, no one is typical. Labeling people as an oddity doesn't jive with me. We all have unique ways of learning and looking at the world. I asked questions about the hospitals because they used to not be that way. They were much healthier places of healing. Of course i'm speaking about here in the u s in the various states where I have lived. It's my opinion that the patient should not be left shivering when they could be given blankets. They should be left to sleep without five interns flipping on all the lights and standing around the bed at three in the morning. Patients need comfort and rest to heal. 🤍

@TodaysBibleTruth ah fair, I'm 30 now and I've been in hospital a few times and I've just always thought it normal tbh, nurses would come and take my temperature every few hours even when I was asleep but that's kinda normal. I guess if you aren't used to it or never had to stay in hospital until adulthood it is jarring ?

I understand the need for a tox screen, to be sure, but not a threatening tone of yet another venipuncture (after about 30 venipunctures/IVs during acute liver failure, seemingly from Tamiflu given to me in an ER, as I had the flu (& I'm an Alpha-1.) If I was given $20 every time an ignorant doctor said something rude & inaccurate along those lines (alcohol or drugs) I'd be wealthy. Unbelievable. I also have CRPS in my R foorlt and now concerns about the pain in my chest (from throwing up?) & in my arms from so many venipunctures, IVs, etc. Yikes. Now to see how much damage was done.

This is very true, I suffer from severe chronic back pain. It’s not a weight problem. I’m only 5’3” and 110 pounds sopping wet. It seems that I can never be pain free.

@@tammiemcdowell1920 chiropractors, acupuncture, reiki and yoga could help if your able to access and try these. Don’t give up, also morphogenic fields listen to some for pain. It can help reset your energy fields.

My experience from speaking with my Dr is that the system only gives them a short period of time with each patient. And it is not realistic. My PCP Dr has spent lesser time with me when it wasn't needed so he had more time to give to someone else. And, he also has spent more time with me when needed than alloted. Sometimes the guy before needs extra time. I appreciated him backing up the next guy when I needed it. Also when he only checks that I'm still breathing, I understand, lol!

I only quit a doctor for taking my time if they charge me or force me to reschedule if I'm late when I normally have to wait anything from 30 minutes to an hour to see them. If they weren't ready for me anyway, what was the issue? I pointed this out to one doctor who was very strict about forcing me to reschedule if I walked in 10 minutes late, even though I still had to wait 20 mins in the waiting room and another 10 in the exam room. That particular doctor changed his policy. :)

They were retaliatory actions. In his mind, he was probably doing the right thing because it served his emotions. Revenge is never good, especially coming from a doctor. The patients were innocent. I wonder if it made him feel better to harm the people he didn't know as opposed to his coworkers, who his hate was most likely geared toward. Or maybe, he was hoping that his coworkers would be reprimanded because the patients suffered while they were providing care and he wasn't in the room. He didn't think he would ever get caught.

There is/was a documentary on this surgeons life and medical career. He never wanted to be a physician ultimately and he self sabotaged his career. Became a mental illness. It should be available to view or at least read about.

It wasn’t okay at all. I’m so sorry you went through that. Unfortunately, you’re in good company - this practice is all too common. It’s one of the many reasons I used to volunteer as a doula, at the county hospital near my house at the time; so people in labor and their partners, where present, would have somebody in their corner. You didn’t deserve what happened to you, in any way. You deserved for your personal sovereignty to have been respected, and for meaningful consent to have been sought and again, respected. Very unethical, in my opinion, but so many doctors are so drunk on their own power, they’re completely out of touch with any kind of ethical compass they may, at one time, have possessed. I would encourage you to find a doula and ask if they will help you process that trauma by talking it out together. A good doula knows how to help you reframe what happened in ways that respect and do not minimize, but which compassionately remind you of what a powerful survivor you are, and how fiercely you showed up for your baby. When a Dr says they want to do MORE than a Pap smear, you always say NO! Because that will lead into that situation. I could not believe that they think women don’t feel pain. Or that’s routine. NO it’s not and refuse access to your body. Get dressed and leave with no more appts.

I suppose he ought to have been put on suspension until after the inquiry into that incident, not even allowed to be in the hospital let alone the OR. Who knows how any individual might behave when placed under threat of losing license/livelihood? Doctors are also human, and just as unpredictable as anyone else under enough stress.

@@JaneChristensen. I agree with you. They put cops, train drivers and other professions affecting people's safety on suspension or restricted duty during inquiry, but doctors have this aura of supposed superiority. While as you say they are human, they are also in position to do a lot of damage.

Call the hospital and talk to the administration. Have it put in your medical records that he is never to be a part of your care team ever again. Have them put this in your chart. If they refuse, take your business elsewhere.

This happens to me constantly too. I went twice to ER. Twice told not life threatening. At home called Ambulance. They said it was anxiety. Waited in waiting room six hours. Finally brought me back and ran test. Dozzen clots in my lungs. First my primary care said I had the flu.

Our 28 year old granddaughter has been bedridden for 8 years. We are finally getting the correct treatment after being diagnosed with ED hopefully with you speaking out others won’t have to wait so long.

@@susiemauldin1405 thank you. It’s a rough syndrome because it’s genetic and all you can do is treat the symptoms. I just had to have a port put in Wednesday for POTS to get daily IVs because I’m losing more fluid than I’m taking in, even drinking over a gallon of water a day plus electrolytes. Feel free to reach out to me if you need guidance. Both my kids have it as well and all three of us present differently. What works for one doesn’t always work for the other. My daughter struggles more with Dysautonomia where my son is more hypermobile, although she is hypermobile as well. I’m somewhere in the middle of both of them.

Praying for you🙏 It’s so sad that we unfortunately can’t expect to receive good medical care anymore. I received horrible medical treatment from two hospitals, one almost caused my death due to their error, which they tried to cover up. I definitely have some trust issues now when it comes to the medical field.

@@Rachaelc1776 An error is one thing. Heart Doctor told me, lung Doctor wanted you to have prednsione induced diabetes 9.4 A1C, heart failure and kidney failure on purpose. Mental health Doctor told me I was lied to back to when I was first disabled (2011). Family Doctor told me in 2014 when my heart stopped twice, I was not helped on purpose.

@@Rachaelc1776 Rachel, I was diagnosed at a major hospital with PTSD in 2018. I was told to leave with no diagnosis and no help. I found it in my medical records.

I had it for years after being paralyzed but awake before a C-sec surgery. My tongue fell in throat & I couldnt breath, lungs were ripping pain. They put mask on me & I went under. Dr made light of it. Medical PTSD was sad at 22 yrs old. Ive had vestibular disease since immediately after that birth.

I was too younger to recognise i was being watched. As soon as i was 16 i sadly refused to go to my adolescents appointment to receive dsd treatment because i could go into that environment without full power of consent. Im assuming dude to chronic stress my favourite thing to do was to wake under anesthesia and try and leave.

I’ve been naturally comatose and medically induced (happened after I was in a major car wreck). I know what you mean and where your curiosity comes from. I couldn’t get answers from my family or friends, so I looked up ‘comatose’ on RU-vid. I watched many clips so I could figure it out for myself. Many blessings to you!!

I was in a comma for two weeks from medical neglect. Specist of hospital said if I got a lawyer he'd testify against her. She slandered me and hid the intensive care records. I want to know how Lithium toxicity coma looks.

Doctors are too quick to discharge patients despite concerning symptoms due to instructions of Administration.

I have a rheumatoid factor 15 times normal but was dismissed by two rheumatologist as if I raised it by myself. So many doctors have failed me that I don't even want to go to another doctor ever.

@@arellatikvahRheumatologist Doctors have changed my diagnosis 3 times in past ten years…RA, Lupus, Psoriatic Arthritis…now refusing any biological meds when the warning label says may cause Lymphoma. Trouble magnified after the Jab so went I cold turkey 😮 I’ll just deal with daily pain.

I used to give lectures to healthcare providers on this very subject.
