Awesome bashing, she's moving nice! 😎👍 wish I had a decent skate park like that around me, the one I have at our local high school is a concrete suicide cage lol!!😂 That's the kicker about high Kv motors, they get hotter than a brick oven lol. And the torque is on the lower end unless you gear it very low. That's why I love the 2200kv in the ezrun or castle 1515 series or TP motors, seems to be the sweet spot between torque & speed plus capable of voltages all the way up to 6S. Keep'm Fast Bro! 😎 👍 👊

I don’t show it in the vids but the motor is literally feels like a brick in an oven I mean when u can’t touch it through the plastic chassis u know u have a problem😂

@@traxrc 🤣🤣🤣 been there done that, with a couple of goolrc motors I bought cheap on Amazon just for kicks, a 4200kv & 2850kv. I don't know if the 4200kv was glowing since it was already orange from stock 😂. Even the 2850kv being an 1/8 scale can, 36x70 can was still getting hot after a short run with moderate gearing. Not all motors are created equal.

with the brushed model you now that you can take out the center driveshaft and make it rear wheel drive, than it drifts much better.

I had same problem I switched the spur to the stock Blx 3s it’s a 50 tooth

That will actually gear it up and make the temps worse. A smaller pinion and smaller spur gears down.

@@traxrc no are u serious. I hope 🤞 to god I’m not having a brain freeze. The smaller spur the less the motor has to work the larger spur the more the motor has to work pushing the drivetrain at more revaluations per second. I used to have nitro and the small engines ripped to high revs but had no torque so we put a bigger spur on it. There exactly like 2 stroke atv & dirt bikes.

Ok so I can picture it in my head but it's very hard to explain. I get what you're saying and it makes sense, but this is what I'm thinking. So a smaller pinion is easier for the motor to turn, but a larger one works it more. Let's say that a motor has a small pinion and a large spur. If you take out the motor and spin the spur by hand, it is easier to turn it when it is bigger because it's more leverage, so when the motor with a small pinion is attached to a large spur, it's slow and doesn't generate as much heat.

@@traxrc we both make sense but why did Arrma then change down to a 50 tooth to begin with? Less resistance and drive train would plus faster off the line pickup. I first had setup with a max 10 and a castle 1410 @ 4200 KV max 3s. I only ran it with stock mega spur and pinion only 2s it was very fast but got super hot real fast. Then I put the 50 tooth spur temps dropped by 45-60. Just go to Jenney’s RC and buy the Arrma OutKast/Karton V2 pinion there both 13 tooth 0.8 pitch. Also did your truck come with a plastic servo spline 23 tooth. I’m running a very similar setup to the Blx 3s but 4s capable still did try to cold 🥶. Wu think that’s fast wait tell you the hoons make sure it’s silver trust me so much grip it actually hard to do donuts. Big difference. That servo once I hooked up gyro brunt to a crisp. I paid 13$ from Amazon for my hoons. I have V2 infraction but that my baby. Pb 96 mph speed pinion scary compared to 68 mph

I question why Arrma had a 50t as well, because in a future video which will be out soon I changed the gearing to 18/50 and it seemed to run better for whatever reason, to this day I just left it in. I believe that the servo is 23t, but not 100% sure. I actually like the ability to drift with the stock tires and get realistic wear, so idk what I'm going to do for tires once these blow up lol.

Can you put a 1/10 motor into a 1/8 car? Or does it underpower it?

I would recommend using a 1/8 motor for your 1/8 car because it could overheat or be underpowered. If it is a high quality motor you could be fine though🤷‍♂️ In the end it all comes down to the motor specs.

Right I do have a 1/10 motor in it. Some cases it works fine u just need a quality system.

If there’s anything more than half a inch no a quarter inch of gravel just don’t go through it cuz it’s all gonna go in the spur gear that’s what I noticed at least

I don’t have the 6s infraction, but I feel like it could be too big. Because the platform is so nimble you can run JT with the throttle pinned almost the whole time and have good control, it’s just so fast that I feel like maneuvering the 6s would be a challenge especially in skateparks.
