Some people care about pinch welds cause when you bend them, you can end up spider cracking the undercoating and water can seep in and start rusting the pinch welds and eventually the body. But I don't think AJ needs to worry about pinch welds rusting on this hoopty when the rear quarter is basically gone.

You guys night be oil starving that thing in boost or something. I might be way off but my old subie would do that when I'd be doing something that would slosh oil around. Them it died due to the engine seizing cuz of an oil issue. :(

this is this legacy wagon i wanted, all of these 2nd gen legacy wagons just rusted out in Colorado so i ended up with a 3rd gen legacy wagon but i couldn’t be happier
Hey AJ maybe the ignition switch is faulty and that's what is making it shut off randomly...if you can turn the wheel without the key somethings up with the ignition switch

AJ says it has to be a loose ground. Da you think? I have never seen a guy spend more time and $ on a POS! Plus never check the oil or look for the loose ground.
The only reason I don't care about that mangled pinch weld is because I can tell the rear strut towers are 1000% cheeched based on that quarter panel rust. I took my old car apart that was rusted like that and there were H U G E holes in the strut towers. I was surprised the struts didn't come through. These cars are really great, the engine will take almost unlimited abuse.
