Professor Learnifyable: Thank you so much for updating the video on the Subgroup Test. Can you recommend any student-friendly textbooks on abstract algebra? I wish the authors of most existing abstract algebra books could explain concepts as well as you do! Are you now teaching at a university or college? If so, which one? You are a wonderful communicator of advanced math, and I look forward to seeing future videos on cyclic groups, symmetric groups, permutation groups, cosets, etc. Many thanks again for producing the videos; I know it takes a lot of work. > Benny Lo California February 26, 2014
Most undergraduate abstract algebra courses use "A First Course in Abstract Algebra" by John B. Fraleigh, but I prefer "A Book of Abstract Algebra" by Charles C. Pinter. It's a Dover book, so it's cheap, and it has really great explanations. I am not currently teaching. My background is actually in mathematical physics, so you might see some more physics videos in the future... Thanks again for the kind comments.
@@learnifyable Can you make one on the Dirac hole theory, holographic principle, Kaluza Klein theory, differential manifolds, Schwarzschild metric, Raychaudhuri equation or Yang Mills existence?
