Summer holiday is a good time for DIY projects and this time I wanted to make a new concrete animal sculpture. After making some sketches on paper I decided that I will make a dog sculpture. My goal was to make something abstract in its shape and I worked quite a lot with ratios but I also took some shape inspiration from the Egyptian pharaoh hound.
The sculpture is 1,85 m tall, 1,38 m long but only 0,10 m thick/wide (that is 100 mm). I didn't go wider because a wider sculpture would require a lot more complex work to achieve a good look.
