I have a question, in between painting stages, you let the paint dry before pulling the tape off and putting new tape on?

Yeah, acrylics dry pretty fast. Its always best to wait for paints to dry

And one more thing as we can see for this painting he is using very thin layer of paint, its not thick heavy body paint so it gets dry super fast and he is professional so he is not hesitant to work fast. Hopefully this would help.

I really love all of the paintings that you do- but something about this one is not as pleasing to the eye -maybe if it was black grey white and a little bit of red I think it would have been a fire piece
