What was the tape for? I don't see a difference when he rips it off. But it does make a cool noise! Oh wait, it was for the outer edge. Never mind. Mistakes were made. I blame myself.

great colors my man. Very inspiring to me being an artist who loves color. some euros I have done have a similar bright palette that seems to really jump out at people. They respond very verbally and positively when they see bright colors that please their Spirit, their soul and just light them up. art is not just a visual experience it's a full body badmind Jamberry. Great work just subscribed and looking forward to painting some odd shaped canvases like that with my own stuff. :-)

bonjour, tu travail a l'acrylique, et ta peinture ne sèche pas rapidement, c'est génial pour les fondus. Comment fais-tu? tu la coupe avec un mélange gras?

I’m an artist but new to canvas.. I’m using sax brand heavy body for practice on artist grade double primed cotton canvas and it’s really difficult to get smooth paint strokes and coverage without seeing sections of canvas when I’m applying my first layer of paint .... And when the paint dries and I want to do another coat for coverage, the dried coat of paint starts to get pulled off of the canvas and I have to get more paint and a dab of water to try and fix it. Last night I did a really good background with good coverage but it took A LOT of burnt umber and yellow and still the brush pulled paint off the edges of the canvas... the brushes are good brushes idk if it’s the paint or the canvas or me?

I also can’t just blend one color into the canvas, I try applying one color and blend it into the canvas but all that happens is the brush just keeps dragging the paint left and right until it starts to dry and then the brush just pulls the paint off the canvas and it looks awful

Okay not that regular brush,lol. . You often use something that's like a brush but it paints almost like a dry brush when it's flat or a pen on it's side. I think there is paint in the handle (which seems to have a guard). Anyway, that's what I want.

bonsoir monsieur. j'aimerai savoir comment vous faîtes tenir vos tableaux entre eux votre travail est magnifique, les couleurs sont gais ,je ne sais si j'aurai osé mélangé les mêmes couleurs je recommence l'acrylique, et, depuis un certain temps mes tableaux se faisaient aux couteaux je pense que je vais osé, si cela ne vous ennui pas , je vais essayer de faire le même puis le suivant avec des bandes continuez votre travail m'inspire ,merci pour ses merveilleux moments bonne soirée cordialement Françoise

Pretty sure John uses double stick tape to keep the canvas in place while he paints.

@@Ydnar6929 also, I was thinking that he has screws in place, measured just right, for his different size canvases, they move very little. I think double side tape or even glue could tear when handling them. LOL, aren't we such good detectives?? My best guess is screws, screwed into his work bench.
