This is a great experience - on-board video from the instructor's car. He led the way for a few laps on the northern part of the F1 circuit then waved me on - and off I went....!
As a Kart racer, I was impressed, you drove some nice smooth laps and the instructor had to step it up to stay with you. Still driving an unfamiliar car and set up at 6 to 8 tenths and staying out of trouble nicely done.
@thegun50 Thanks - it was my first outing in the car - although I have driven the circuit before in my Porsche GT3RS, but not in this circuit configuration!
@thegun50 Thanks for your very kind comments - I haven't worked out the difference because I haven't timed both cars on the same circuit configuration, but I guess the cornering speeds of the F3 car must be a lot quicker than in the GT3RS. although top speed must be about the same. The GT3RS as it comes from Porsche is pretty much an out and out track car with plates - great fun - but I do prefer the out and out adrenalin of the single seater!
Paul what was the difference in lap times between your GT3RS and the F3 chassis? I'm a PCA memeber, Vintage Porsche owner and vintage racer here in the US. A must be nice, is your GT3RS....a dedicated track car?
Accidentally hit the dislike button as the page loaded - I immediately removed my dislike but RU-vid says it has told you someone disliked your video! Not my intention, sorry! Amazing that one man can do this AND handle a cathedral organ, and that neither is the main day job...
