i realize you never take this reel for a test casting shoot out video, I went through your whole playlist videos and i couldn't find any beside the unboxing video
Nicely done. Wondering about the fact that you as a right handed fisherman would want right hand retrieve.. In Europe we do it the other way around, managing the rod with our favored hand (right handed, rod in right hand and reel handle in left). Some do it the other way, like you, but mostly because they are used to the older models where left handed versions were not available.
This Revo has a cool paint job and being rated for saltwater applications is reason enough to beef up the spool and frame. The fewer bearing count is likely that the crank handle is missing them and is of no importance. This reel came from Japan, but is likely made in Korea or China like other Abu reels. Tusrinoya sells a Spirt Fox 150 reel for $60 dollars with a similar paint job and it weighs 6.7 ounces. The reel can use any spool that fits the XF-50 or other Spirt Fox reels. This gives you the option of four spool sizes from Tusrinoya and they are quite inexpensive compared to aftermarket spools. Getting a $20 dollar Jackhammer still is no bargain if you can buy a similar reel for $60 dollars and has free shipping. Budget reels don’t cost $200 dollars.
@CheezusCrust Sadly every home in America is full of things made in China. First ask this question to yourself. Who let this happen, and then look in the mirror? The Chinese people work hard to survive and none had a choice where they were born. Be glad you were lucky to be in born in America. Communists run China but people are just people all over the World.
@@THEREELTEST Comparing a 2020 Ferrari to a BMW makes a budget car a BMW, nothing wrong with using the best if you want. Some people drink $10 dollar bottles of wine and some drink $100 dollar bottles of wine. The point is; you get just as drunk, drinking both. I enjoy your ideas on fishing reels just never thought of a budget reel costing $300 dollars.
Great job as always. I've enjoyed my Ultracast quite a bit. I feel that the performance of the Ltx, ALC, and Ultracast are all very similar. The Roxani BF8 is does have a hard time with anything less than 1/8 ounce.
Hi, THE REELS TEST. I hope this find you well, I have been watching your reel test for many years. But one thing I hope you can do, can you please go to the spec details before testing, I think someone want to know more details then just test cast distance, however cast distance is good but we need to know more before we decided to buy a reel, and the spec is important too.
Yeah fed ex really doesn’t seem to care as much about their packages as other shipping companies. I ordered a one piece rod and fed ex decided to give me a three price rod.
I love it.. man, I purchased one from Japantackle on the 14th. I can’t wait because I don’t have any other poles. How long did it take to arrive originally. I purchased for 259.00 with shipping
THE REEL TEST What about the Shimano,Daiwa or Abu in this budget for Bfs custom? What reel from these brands is the best in your opinion in 200 $ budget to buy and customize for this purpose ?
Ivan get an alc bf7 mate! 1 gram won’t work very good but 2 and 3 wil cast very well. You also won’t have any extra costs when it comes to a new spool cuz it already comes with the lightest stock spool shares with the ltx bf8 (6.3g without bearing)
If only dreams would have come true lol. My bad I know its your dime but for some odd reason I thought you were going to do a giveaway on the lefty at first 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤦♂️ I was like no way he would do that though. This reel looks dope though I would swap the handles and the bearings. Been stuck on abec9 bearings since I do bfs is saltwater and the anti corrosion features of full ceramic is a extreme highlight to me lol. Hope all is well. Can't wait to see where it compares to the rest of the pack in the cast battle!
Hello from Australia I'm trying to get right into BFS fishing and we have zero, shop online or in shops around here. I got a guy to work with me with rods but, when it comes to the reels, it's like a big no no. And I want to people here in Australia to know you don't need to put, your bait casters away for six months. And you can use bait caster for trout or perch still in the cooler months, please if you see this can you give me the top 5 sits you buy from for BFS reels please and. I will make sure it was your channel for getting me into BFS fishing it's not much I know!! But it can give you more people from where I am, to know about your channel.
if you are talking about chinese BFS reels then Aliexpress is where I get those. For JDM I generally use Japanlureshop or Digitaka. Also check out Asian Portal shop on Ebay
@@michaelgrimes9153 I have premium spinning gear but barely touch it cuz I love bfs. Different feel, no bail to open, and who doesn't love settings the hook on casting gear. It's just a different experience and boy do I love it.
