I just noticed in the video, she says two TABLEspoons of baking soda. But when the camera moves past the recipe book she's reading from, it says 2 TEAspoons of baking soda. In addition, if you read the recipe included in the video description, it says 1 TEAspoon of baking soda. Has anyone made this recipe specifically; if so, could you tell me the correct amount, please? I'm assuming the book would be the appropriate resource, but who knows?
I was asking the same thing. 2tsp to 2tbl is a big difference. However 1 tsp doesn't seem to be enough to make it puff. Imo. Gonna make these but stuffed before frying. I'm gonna do 2tsp baking powder. I'll come back and comment if they puff up good with that amount.
A bit late, however--The presenter (in green) Said that they are known for their “ infamous” sopaipillas . Per dictionary- in-famous - abominable , well known for bad quality etc., etc., etc. - just saying- I was looking for a New Mexican sopaipilla recipe and grandma looked like she knew what she was doing.
