Abuse and Identity - Fr. John Riccardo 

Thank you for having the courage and forethought to bring this up and articulate not only the memories surrounding these events but how the enemy taunts us to stay oppressed. Blessed be God that he plucked you out of the mire of the abuse and lay your feet upon the solid ground of his love for you. You are his son, beloved and healed.

Beautiful talk, Fr. John. I am happy that you shared this painful time of your life to help us recognize who we really are and who God really is to us. I love you. May God continue to give you health and time to share your rare gift that is not found in most humans much less in priests

Dear Father John, You're a gift from God to your family, friends, and the human race. Thanks be to God. Thank you for being an indispensable and supremely brilliant soul; nevertheless, you are beloved by many thousands regardless of your efforts or gifts. You remind us that all souls want to attain greatness; you certainly have yourself. Nevertheless, you needn't perfect yourself to have our unconditional respect.

Fr. Riccardo, you have stopped me in my tracks. You're words are so effective and powerful and so much needed today. You teach of redemption like no other. You give me hope for my children who have strayed and see no worth in God and that Jesus saved all. Thank you and keep doing such great Godly works in a world that is tortured by contemporary demons.

This talk sums up so much about how we, the child sexual abused. I thought I was the only one who felt all these things, I never equated them to the abuse before. I am 60 and just starting to see how the abuse affected my personality, how I have allowed it permeate every part of my life. If you were abused as a child, I can only encourage you to seek help sooner rather than later, don't allow Satan to use it to direct you. Peace be with you and quiet you gently in mind and heart.

Thankyou Father. I needed reminding that l am loved because l am Gods daughter. Please pray for my husband who has bipolar and is constantly putting pressure on himself to prove his worthiness. We have a blessed life but l worry about his salvation. God bless you and your country America.

I can relate. The thing of sexual abuse at a young age is your boundaries were also violated therefore you are unable to set boundaries. I learned this through counseling. Unlike you, I tried to speak out but was chastised and told this abuser was nothing but a saint. There were others in the family that he tried to abuse but living with him, it was unavoidable, and I was an orphan and they were my guardians. I had such a profound experience with the Rescue Project whereas the Holy Spirit became real, like actually a real person of the Trinity. It has truly changed my life. I also work for the church and by all means I should hate the church because the abuser was a deacon and family member, but I love the church. Because of my experience, I tend to be a watch dog for abuse, I can’t help it but as you probably experienced, we have a tendency to trust no one. God bless you Fr. I found out that even if you tell no ones does anything. Because the pervert has rights. More important than the child.

How does this happen when you have two good parents? I never want my babies to spend the night away from me ever.
