▼ What is a "Straydog Helper Np"?
We are a group that works with local orphans and underprivileged youth to protect stray dogs in three regions of the world (Nepal 🇳🇵, India border 🇮🇳, and Japan 🇯🇵).
In Nepal, we have established a shelter for stray dogs and have provided over 100 dogs with vaccinations and flea and tick medicine.
In Japan, we are collaborating with two dogs rescued from Nepal (Maro and Oreo) to save puppies that were scheduled to be killed.
We rescue stray dogs from public health centers and place them with qualified foster parents to save their lives (27 dogs as of May 2023).
Furthermore, we have initiated a stray dog support program along the Indian border, where temperatures can reach as high as 45 degrees Celsius.
Despite our modest scale of operations, we not only protect the lives of stray dogs but also safeguard the health of local people by administering rabies vaccinations in areas where many people succumb to the disease.
Additionally, we involve young individuals, especially those without parents or from single-parent households, in assisting the dogs as a form of "employment," which also fosters their self-reliance.
In this way, our objective is to (1) save the dogs, (2) support the youth, and (3) preserve the well-being of the local population.
It is not easy to continue our activities in three regions of the world at the same time, but we are struggling together with our fans who support us.
