One of my favorite DSBM songs of all time. It’s like they are saying “we understand you’re suffering”. It’s a song of validation, not condemnation for those who wish to go.
My visions are all clouded I see nothing but red This hatred has now congealed to a near climatic state Why do I remain here to weaken through the years? I am so confused - my soul dies all the while I don't wish to co-exist with this feeble human race I don't feel the need to be infected with the disease called "life" A state of mental grief causes my mind great pain In this emotional state I suffer from despondency Violent and murderous thoughts Form deep inside my mind Dwelling on these sights to the point where I'm insane Why do I remain alive when I only wish to die? I am so distressed - my soul rots all the while I'm surrounded by life-loving shapes that exist without a choice Your fears of death are covered up by the words "Suicide is weak" Released from the grip of life's burdening chains My body devoid of blood and unable to embrace pain With death I'll grow in strength and might Fading away without remorse With death I'll leave this weakened earth To become at one with the night With death I'll grow in strength and might Fading away without remorse With death I'll leave this weakened earth I am at one with the night
An yes, fifteen years later and this dudes work is still very tough to beat! The riffs, the melodies and atmosphere, the driving rhythm beats - only Burzum can be held up to Abyssic Hate and his outstanding albums! Those bands got me thru some shit over the years - heroin detox, self harm etc. You know the story guys. It's dark and beautiful and that's why we love it so much. X
It’s truly amazing how one can very literally feel the music. This speaks to every fiber in my being and allows my body to give in to the feelings this emulates. Pure beauty
While im not sure. But heres my guess. Probably just a distortion pedal or fuzz pedal cranked on max distortion. With maybe also hi gain cranked on an amp. Not sure though. But thats my guess
@@keganboy6103 i could imagine a digital amp works pretty fine to get that tone, would be fitting with the general bedroom sound. i dont judge i just think its way too much effort to try to reproduce this with a real amp when digital amp and distortion is relatively easy.
@@trveheimer6360if you're a real audiophile you will notice the difference, to replicate the exact sound here one may need a tube/valve amp and maybe a distortion pedal but this depends on the exact amp which I can't tell apart just from listening
