AC/DC is the CCR of hard rock... very efficient song writing, not a lot of frilly extras, deceptively simple, but more complex than you think. They know how to craft a hook and sound great together.
I'm really trying to think if there's anyone out there today that rocks like this. All in, 110%, wailing and sweating, don't really give a crap how they look, shaggy hair and dishevelled, slaving over a hot guitar? So many people in music now look so airbrushed, every hair in place, more effort put into the image than the music. It is fun to look back and see these kind of bands, rocking so hard like they're one step away from losing their shit and smashing their own instruments. That's passion! 💣💥💥
I seen AC/DC live in Toronto, Canada at MAPLE LEAF GARDENS, When they did this song a gigantic bell came down from the ceiling and when he started hitting it to open the song THE WHOLE STADIUM VIBRATE WITH EVERY HIT OF THAT BELL IT WAS SO AWESOME I'M IN MY 60s NOW BUT WOULD TOTALLY GO BACK FOR ANOTHER SHOW.
Love that you’re gettin’ into AC/DC... by the way, I’m fkn obsessed with Brian Johnson’s voice as well😍I got to grow up to the best music of all times....70’s - early 80’s
So glad you're loving this stuff. I think growing up in the 70s here in Oz, you can't help but have your AC/DC imprinted into your DNA. Please, look up some of their 1974 -1979 stuff as well - the Bon Scott years.... Long Way to the Top, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, Jailbreak, Whole Lotta Rosie, High Voltage, Touch too Much, etc, etc.
Many years ago, when I worked in a Radio Shack in midwest USA, a New Zealander walked in while we had AC/DC blasting out of a decent set of demo speakers. He walked in with the wife, turned and looked at the stereo system, nodded, and said something akin to "rockin, yeah?". We couldn't hear him properly due to the volume. Even the Kiwis know. * wink wink *
This was off their album Back in Black and it was their first album after their previous singer, the legendary Bon Scott died. I like Brian Johnson (the singer here) but I encourage you to look into some AC/DC from the Bon years too.
@@dksweet1 Wow! I knew it was their best selling album, outselling all their previous ones but that's pretty amazing. Definitely my fav Brian Jones album.
ACDC is just pure rocknroll. Nothing fancy, They dont even look like rock stars but they play with psssion.B Gumm mentioned the Live at Riverplate show. They were older then but rocked ju st as hard and the crowd was over the top insane!
Hells Bells is without a doubt one of the greatest rock and roll songs of all time! I've heard it since 1980 and you can bet your ass it NEVER! gets old..
This was a win all or lose it all for AC DC. Opening track for the album with the then new singer Brian Johnson who replaced the sadly deceased Bon Scott. They were on the verge to make the final struck to international stardom after slow but steady rise.
glad ur getting in to bands from the 70,s they were great all we had in cars were 8-track tape players which wasn,t bad at the time to listen to them, didn,t matter we still rocked on anyways
I HAD TO COMMENT ON WHAT U SAID ABOUT THEIR MUSIC ALL BEING DIFFERENT !!!!!!!!!!! I BELIEVE ANGUS (lead guitar) STATED THE "OPPOSITE" IN AN INTERVIEW- STICK TO WHAT YOU KNOW !! I'VE ALWAYS WONDERED HOW DIFFERENT(probably not much) THEIR MUSIC WOULD OF BEEN IF BON WAS STILL ALIVE !! HE WAS AN A-M-A-Z-I -N-G. LYRICS MAN- ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! MISS U, BON !!! 😓💔⚡🎶
Rock died in 1990, my generation from the 50s to the end of the 80s when the masters became immortalized, in the end, we played all the chords wrote all the songs, we created rock and roll and we ended rock and roll
a lot of complicated music, lyrically complex, musically complex, politically and socially engaged music that has never lost its relevance. that's why I love reactions!!
im with you my brother, and when this music was new, we took it for granted, we thought it would never end..............it did, now we know how lucky we were
If you haven't got around to listening to Def Leppard, then you are reallllly missing out. Here are some good ones: Rock of Ages, Pour Some Sugar on Me, Foolin', Hysteria, and there are sooo many more!!! You gotta listen to it.. .Pretty please! .. Def Leppard is going to remind you of Queen and Led Zeppelin, but polished for the 80s. It's amazing!!!!!! And the drummer is one-handed!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
And they have been doing it for over 40 years. Simply amazing. The best hard rock band ever, imo. Gotta do “TNT”, “Dirty Deeds done Dirt Cheap” or “Rock’n’Roll Train” from river plate. Have to do the live version from river pate it is AMAZING.
It's funny you saying that they always sound different, when critics have said their songs all sound the same. I remember hearing a story about Angus ( the little fella in the shorts) and a music critic said to Angus, that AC/DC have made 17 albums that sound exactly the same. To which Angus replied that it was bullshit, it was 18 ! I love AC/DC my alarm is The Jack. If you ever do another AC/DC reaction, do The Jack live at River Plate, brilliant and funny.
If you're interested in AC/DC and want to keep discovering their music I would suggest working your way from some of their early stuff forward ; may I suggest Dog Eat Dog, Down Payment Blues, Jailbreak or If You Want Blood (You Got It), followed by It's a Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock N Roll), Whole Lotta Rosie, Heatseeker and Moneytalks?
This old bird is glad you're listening to this stuff. Born in 67 Cleveland and Mom was rock - dad country. I'm glad to have been raised with both ♥️ Any questions please ask. I'll do my best to answer for you
I hate typing this cuz I'm admitting I'm old... music today is not what it was. I agree with many who lean towards bon. Brian is good. Bon was great. U need to listen to "freebird" by lynyrd skynyrd. No one should go thru life without hearing freebird..
Listen to can I sit next to you girl by AC/DC with the original lead singer Dave Evans. Type in RU-vid AC/DC Dave Evans. Bon Scott is not the original singer for AC/DC. The singer in this song you just reacted to is Brian Johnson.
@@001spring i like a lot of different kinds of music( just not new "country") the last three things i listened to while sitting in the car waiting to go into work yesterday were, AC/DC, eminem, and Glen Campbell lol - but i understand your thoughts on Brian Johnson vs Freddie on vocals, but AC/DC is more about the music(more of a get me hyped up thing) for like shooting hoops, or cleaning house
Hello JB how are you I like to see your reactions and I would like you to see Ana Moura - Maldição ao vivo, I know I'm just a person asking but I think you would be surprised by the sound of the 12 string portuguese guitar and Ana's voice and the feeling of portuguese people. Thank you, greetings from Portugal.
