I can't believe we never heard of this AC/DC session until now, but there are noodles of oodles of them

Radio simulcasts were great and of course it's ANALOG 😁🤘

It's a BBC RADIO 1 studio session and has been broadcast on The Friday Rock Show with Tommy Vance, and on numerous other occasions herein the UK. I allow that you may be elsewhere in the world, or too young to know this, or perhaps both. Whatever the case, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Great quality sound as always from the BBC.

This version is better than the studio version

Most definitely! I remember actually feeling disappointed when I bought their first album on cassette, having already heard this session in Radio 1 (and recorded it onto chrome cassette, which I still have and which still sounds better than the album!) Well done BBC RADIO 1 for making such an excellent recording in 1976!

The boys have always been best set very LOUD in a live situation 🤘🏼

Makes me wonder if brothers should have kept Mark Evans. In my opinion, their best songs were crafted before Mutt Lange produced highway to hell.

@@jaytomheldman5170 highway, powerage and let there are 'holy trinity' of ac dc albums, and highway is very top. evans doesn't play crucial role in process.

Mark is great, but he couldn't have handled the band's musical evolution. Cliff had the skill to do that.

@@simontrencher8245 That was the excuse but Mark admitted himself in his book that getting under Angus skin, drinking too much, & missing rehearsals cost him

Yes, not as strong vibrato as Ang and not as distorted a sound

Yes broadcast of all 4 songs has been on BBC radio.. a few times over the years.

Yes, I can confirm it was broadcast in full. I heard and recorded it on a BASF chrome cassette which still sounds wonderful in 2023!

They played that at the old Waldorf in 77 too. I managed to grab that gig on cd a few years ago and it’s not been out of the cd player since…
