@@spamsquirrel To argue free use you have to go to court, which is prohibitively expensive for most people. In the first instance RU-vid assumes the copyright owner’s copyright has been infringed.

The copyright detection stuff doesn't like it when audio that has already been uploaded to RU-vid (in this case AC/DC own upload of the son), appears unaltered in chunk longer than... I think it's 15 seconds.... so basically, if you chop it up, or even just talk over the music, or modify the audio sufficiently you don't make the thing wake up in the first place. It's annoying but a system one can deal with.

I love ACDC.I love that you are doing this now because its perfect for me. I literally just returned from a trip to Greece where I saw them in concert when I lived there in 2009. It was the best concert of my life unmatched to this day and I passed the stadium they performed at while visiting family there and it brought back memories. Angus blew me away and from then on ACDC was my favorite band. Then I come back and a few hours later you drop this. Thank you!

Thanks Amie and Vlad for persevering with this one through the maze of You Tube copyright nanny's - glad (and slightly surprised) that you liked it as much as you did. AC/DC are raw, sweat soaked, blue collar, blues based, high voltage rock, and nearly a genre unto themselves. Most of their compositions are relatively simple, and best experienced live (although the albums are very good too), but having said that, AC/DC do simple better than just about anyone else, and that makes them broadly appealing, hence their success. They are a band that don't take themselves too seriously, and make music that is fun to play, and listen to, because, it's supposed to be entertainment after all. Even though the members are now in their '70's, they are still touring, and providing one of rocks best "fun nights out". Cheers!

Did not think she'd like it. Awesome! Just a pity the video was cut every time I got into the song. BTW, at our school dances, we used to make a big circle with everybody linking up, charing "THUNDER!" while stomping our feet. It had quite a primal quality.

AC/DC vocalists on official studio & live albums: * 1975 ...1979 *Bon Scott* * 1980 ... mid-80s *Brian Johnson* with vocals quite similar to his work in Geordie (70's) * Mid-80s onwards *Brian Johnson* with his "lost voice". Guns n' Roses vocalist *Axl Rose* was vocalist for the last two legs of the 2015-2016 Tour, due to Brian Johnson's hearing problems. Bon Scott died 1980, which is the reason for the next albums cover being black. And starting with an actual church bell. _Dave Evans_ sings in one single "Can I Sit Next to You, Girl" (1974) . _Denis Loughlin_ occasionally substituted him during the early shows.

One of the most famous aspects of AC/DC's music is the unusual "screechy" singing (or however you care to describe it). After original singer Bon Scott unfortunately passed away, they came back with the Back in Black album with Brian Johnson as the new singer; his singing/voice sounded remarkably similar to Scott's (I personally think both are very good). Another thing the band is famous for is lead guitarist Angus Young's energetic stage antics. He would do the duckwalk, get down and spin around on the ground, climb up on the singer's shoulders, etc. all while still playing like a champ!

Just out of curiosity, I searched for another Thunderstruck (studio version) reaction. I found one PDQ. And not only was it not touched by YT Big Brother, the contributor didn't even insert pauses in it. Which I understand you usually have to do for your video to stay up. So, I'm assuming has an issue with this lady, more so than the track.

I thought this would be the epitome of "industrial noise" for you Amy. You've come a long way! There's a story that Angus Young, lead guitarist, was asked about their latest album. He replied "I'm tired of critics saying we have put out eleven albums that sound exactly the same. We've put out TWELVE!" They finished with 18. My favorite was Back In Black, Brian Johnson's debut with the band.

One of my favorite AC/DC songs is Hells Bells, the way it starts and builds, and incorporates bells, is just so interesting and auditorially pleasing. AC/DC is one of those bands that you know why they are popular, they are just so easy to listen to. Every song is a banger. And that strong powerful sound is present in every song.

Kings of the Aussie garage bands. They always drive the beat to make the rhythm seem like it's running ahead, it becomes infectious. This song always reminds me of watching a storm coming across the ocean (I live in new Zealand... We get a lot of that)

In Romania , in two separate cities, the music you play is censored 2 seconds an image who says "RU-vid don't like this music so we cut, cut,cut " then two seconds of music. And so on. On other channels "AC/DC - Thunderstruck" plays without any problem. So I think is an attack to your channel. Love your channel, have listened all 44 posts for "Pink Floyd - The Wall" You are marvelous! Best channel with classical musicians listening for tthe first time a rock song. I recomand "Rapsodia Romana No.1 by George Enescu directed by Sergiu Celibidache". Vlad knows about what I'm talking about.

Lots of people recommending songs by the late great Bon Scott, I’d throw in “It”s a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock ‘n Roll),” perhaps the only rock song in rotation that features a bagpipe/guitar duel. Brian Johnson’s voice has become iconic since with plenty of great tracks to check out, off the top of my head “You Shook Me All Night Long,” “Back in Black,” and “Let There Be Rock.” There are many, many more. Also, damn it RU-vid, why do you have to keep ruining our fun? Chill, dawg.

I am so glad you have started to do some AC/DC. This was a great starter song. I love the Brian Johnson era, but I enjoy Bon Scott even more. I really hope you all do The Jack, or Nightcrawler, soon, as I think it would be a really good show of how different this band can be. Though really any of the big songs from Bon Scott's era would be great. As usual a wonderful channel.

An interesting feature of guitar riff that plays from the opening second to the end of the song is that it’s a feature of the guitars tuning. Each of the melody notes in the pattern is alternated with the note the string is tuned to open (B). His fingers are just moving up and down the B string, and by alternating with the open note it makes the pattern sound much more difficult to play than it actually is, some you only have to finger every other note.

Compared to all others reactions where all I hear is "Wow. What is this? How come I've never heard of this? etc etc" - I have to say I really like how you analyze and break down your thoughts on different bands and styles of music (absolutely loved all your Dire Straits and Queen reactions). I guess coming from a classical musician, there is a real study and appreciation of musical and lyrical art breakdown. Without meaning to disparage the others I feel like you are miles ahead of the game.

They're one of the only bands i can think of that never really altered their sound, "much".They didn't feel the need to go all progressive and/or soft with a bunch of ballads. You could always count on them to just have fun and rock you. Angus Young is one of the most animated lead guitarists ever, fun to watch him hop across the stage or march in place, all while constantly head-banging the entire time. I think he's in his 60's and still does it.

AC/DC means Alternating Current or Direct Current in electricity. I once saw in a video, there was a Hypnotist who could make rain assisted by several people whose minds had been focused. Michael Jackson started as a boy soprano, but changed into tenore Leggero, during 1975-1981, and became a tenore Lirico during 1982-2009 for the rest of his life. Thank's.

The opening guitar riff reminds me off baroque toccatas. Like someone you would find in the Well Tempered Clavier only harmonically much simpler. I mean it's a 3 minute long organ point in just one chord.

Ok, I see RU-vid chopped it up quite a bit. Luckily I know the song well, almost second nature by now. Anyway, I'd like to suggest another song by AC/DC to you that features the first lead singer Bon Scott. This will give you a better perspective of their varying sounds over the years. The song is "It's a Long Way to the Top", and it features...wait for it...BAGPIPES! I think you'll enjoy it.

Nothing’s being “cut, cut, cut”, we’re just getting the song broken into 9-second. segments. I guess that’s so nobody can easily record the song. Because getting access to the full song, uninterrupted, is really difficult.

I think you're confusing this song with "Sweet Child o' Mine" by Guns n Roses, Slash was doing a finger stretching exercise and Axl liked it so much they built a song around it. The "Thunderstruck" riff was always a riff. Here's a quote from Angus Young himself: "It started off from a little trick I had on guitar. I played it to Mal and he said 'Oh, I've got a good rhythm idea that will sit well in the back.'"

It is fair use. One of necessary pieces of evidence in court is the damage..... WHERE IS THE DAMAGE? If they claim it's the viewer count and the monetization of the channel.... prove that there is damage. It's more likely and more evident there is no damage, and they had a slight increase in sales of the song due to the channel they imply does damage. Where is it?

For problematic music, for example this and all of your Beatles videos, how about doing something like the following: don't play the audio, just play your reaction as it plays in your headphones and show an up-to-date time stamp on screen. That way we can listen along some other way and it allows your video style to remain constant. It's quite easy for me to play any of these songs in the background on Spotify, RU-vid...etc, so don't necessarily need to hear the music playing in your video. As long as we know what version of the song and which part you're listening to, there is no difference.

What on earth is wrong with youtube. AC/DC is my teen years during the 80's, every Australian knew them and their songs. In the 70's - 80's you had the Australia pub scene where all bands cut their teeth to make a living, you had to be good and AC/DC were one of those bands, people went pub to pub following them.

@@Quotenwagnerianer See the Tom Scott video about RU-vid copyright and Content ID stuff. The sad fact is that copyright law is so out of this world that even the clips that we could hear here might be illegal without special arrangements that RU-vid has made. The Content ID allows copyright owners to be really draconian about their IP ownership and some copyright holders just want to make things really hard. I was under impression that Pink Floyd was one of the worst for copyright strikes but it seems that AC/DC is really bad, too.

It's all audio clip recognition AI bots. Some labels feed the trollbots with more detailed source material "signatures" and run more bots simultaneously. It's never the actual band that cares, but following the label will find the more censored content, because they have a "robot army" of DMCA claim form letter generators. And it's also not even humans or "RU-vid" really other than it can be automated and enforced by robots with no ability to judge fair use or other things. They just listen for matches and send form letters.

There's another reaction channel I watch where they go through a whole album in one sitting. It's cut up so bad you can get maybe 30 seconds of each song. RU-vid truly needs to get off their high horse and let these things happen. How else will the younger generation discovery these bands? It's not like any of them are listening to terrestrial radio. Sure, they're a household name in music, but doesn't mean they'll seek it out.

it still boggles my mind that some creators get to listen to an entire piece, go "yeah that was pretty nice, it sounds like X, thanks for watching" and face no issue, while others actually provide insightful commentary that easily quadruples the length of the actual song, but have to neuter their video like this just to get it past the censors. youtubes double standards are nothing short of absurd.

Thanks for that and now please the "Steve'n'Seagulls" cover in video form. And Brian Johnson has really worked real hard his whole life to develop his voice quality😉 It always reminds of the growls and hiss of a big cat predator.
