Yeah, but considering the low drop of the special items, I will go for them. The Emerald allows the creation of that 5 star weapon for Lucas and if luckily, I get one more from drops, I can give him the armor too and finish the last story mission. I believe Ancient tablet is the most special among the special item and has even less drop chances so I will go for it. I'd rather stockpile them from an early stage and gradually use them up as you only need a limited amount of ancient tablets.

@@Kalimdor199Menegroth I'm lucky enough to currently craft both Lucas axe and armor right now. Got both blade and armor for Luciano too. Would have equipped Yusuf with 2 swift items as well, but there's no swift medium armor for him, and I didn't craft swift dagger+light armor combo. Sadly no such luck with Stealth or Swipe items.

When he break the chest and it show higher score than lock picking score is because the lock picking score is the base score at that multiplier. Base score for a chest is 300 to break. +20% bonus for lock picking. And team bonus multiplier added for chest too. So his team of 525% bonus would have netted 1875 for breaking a chest. And there is a small chance of double score or triple score. A total of 3750 or 5625 respectively. The base score for lock picking for that multiplier is 2250/chest. Of course that is if there's a lockpicker with 175% character bonus for the event. Since there are none, he would only get 1620/chest.

I've done several calculation testing this out. Character that pick locks usually get 20% bonus (not sure for this specific event, haven't start it yet) ONLY to the chest he opens. But you'll lose out on 100%+ score on everything else. If the lockpicker is one of the lower rank BONUS character, sure bring them if there are 2 or more chests in the mission. If there are no bonus character with lockpick ability, don't bother. From previous missions I can conclude, on lowest score, each chest is 300 when break open, 360 when lockpicked. That score will be multiplied along the team score bonus. So theoritically a team with 500% score bonus (175%+175%+150%), will get (5+1)x300=1800/chest. If you sacrifice 1 team member and get a lock picker, they will get (3.5+1)x360=1620/chest, that along with the 1.5x penalty to the mission score as well. So you're losing a lot actually. If you get a lock picker with lower bonus multiplier (175%+175%+125%), it will be (4.75+1)x360=2070/chest. Then you can compare the score you gain (270/chest) with the mission score that you lose (0.25 x mission score) to find out which is better. Of course the chest itself is RNG calculations of 3 different scores (300, 600 and 900). It's roughly 60% chance 300 30% chance 600 10% chance 900 So with that taken into account, the correct approximation of a chest score is roughly 450 (break) or 540 (lockpick)

Force open chests gives you a good amount of nodes too so it is not necessary. Go for your best bonus sync characters.
