Amazing tutorial. I am a 3rd year Electrical Engineering student. Thevenin Theorem is now a very easy and old thing for me. Your tutorial is very much clear to understand for beginners and the concept you are giving here is really important.

Dude you're back! I wanted to say I myself have wanted to be a Electrical engineer since I was 10 and am ecstatic I came across your videos on Amazon and saw your story on your website of struggling with math and working for NASA. Thank you for making videos .

+mathtutordvd I have the same dream. o.o I dream of working for nasa as an aerospace engineering or even an astronaught, but i never finished school. After years of time off, i turned 18 and did a diploma and went to uni, struggling with maths but i'm getting through it thanks to your videos.

Started a new computing internals course last week, and the first day of class the professor assigned homework on circuits. 95% of the class (including me) had never even heard of a circuit because it's not a prerequisite for the course, so we were completely lost. What a coincidence you just uploaded a lesson on circuits hahaha.

Thank you so much. i always feel that i am hard to understand how to calculate. Your clear explanation helps me a lot. I have watched a lot of videos about the sample topic but no one like you can help me to learn one thing so clear. Also, I am not a English native speaker, but your accent is easy to understand without any subtitle. Thanks a lot again.

Do you have a tutorial that shows the mutual inductance? Like, you got an inductor of j20 ohms and a mutual inductance of j5 ohms and then find thevenin circuit

For future reference because I was confused too: multiply the top so the top becomes 432j and then multiply the fraction by the complex conjugate and simplify

@MathAndScience
@MathAndScience 3 года назад
Hi, I think you need to review complex numbers and how to work with them. There are 2 ways to represent a complex number. Rectangular form and polar form. You need to be able to work with both by hand and in the calculator. Please search my channel for that as I have lessons on these topics. Good luck! Jason

how did you get 6-2j..?
@manslayerpupil
@manslayerpupil 6 лет назад
It was the division of 240 phasor 0 deg divided by 36+j12. At first glance, they cannot be divided by each other because they are in different, non-compatible notations. If you convert 240 phasor 0 deg to a complex number, it is just 240+j0, or simply 240 since the imaginary part is zero. Now that the numerator and the denominator are both complex numbers, you can divide them with no issue, which equals 6-j2.
@abdullazarrar1910
@abdullazarrar1910 6 лет назад
but then how do u get j12?
@nn11412
@nn11412 6 лет назад
You can change the numerator into complex numbers, then multiply both the numerator and denominator by the denominator conjugate, keep in mind that j^2 is equal to -1, hence you'll get 6-2j.
