Interesting point about slow EV daily top ups. Enphase microinverters or wall inverters. Both will do trickle charge. If electricity suppliers want millions of homes to take cheap electricity at night it will be at the trickle rate for grid stability. Good thinking. It is critical that we protect the national electrical power grid. It costs $TRILLIONS to build over several decades. We can save $TRILLIONS if we do not have to build new grid capacity. We probably don't have the time, decades to millions and millions and millions of buildings. Nobody thinks about the cost and time to build more grid capacity. Except vested interests, they will tell you this is why distant new renewables are uneconomic.

I can see both the robotic home robotic vacuum cleaner and Selfparking EVs plugging into the wall power outlets. 😊😊😊😊 even robotic lawnmower can plug itself in.

Most vehicles are parked 23hrs every day. And the avg energy consumed 7kwh daily. Ezi pezi for daily top-ups. Full battery every day, brilliant, always ready for a long trip. As you say, rapid chargers will be on the main roads and at corner stores.

EV 'fill up' takes seconds to plug in even at rapid chargers.

it would be nice to have a large brand to have a system from solar panels directly charge an EV through DC. The DC conversion that happens between DC to DC is highly efficient especially when the voltages are near between input to output, it is like 99% efficient. Example: Roof solar of 5KW output charging an EV through AC would be a loss of around 15%-20% or 750-1000 watts power because there is conversion from solar to AC (panel to house) and then AC to DC (inside the car)

Your % seem wrong Also the electricity is free, waste as much help as you want. The feed in tariff is small and reflects the value of feed in electricity.
