I was looking for something different in a amp besides my normal Marshall, Mesa stuff, turned this video on and decided to buy this amp within 30 seconds, got in my car, drove to the guitar store and puchaced. I'm a giging pro musician and like to have options because I get bored fast ( don't tell my wife ) Great video!
Rowdy pickups will make a hige difference.. Gilby uses as i underatand a fairly hot set in his min les paul I have a 59 reissue with paf copies of course . And man... they are rude. Easy easy sustain with just a little hair on the gain with tubes and the guitar sings .. same on every amp.. or 100.. fender champ. Reverb deluxe. Marshall.... i would start with the guitar.... just my 2 bits of course.
I don't know why people almost always demo AC15's and 30's as though they were Orange Rockerverbs, and they're auditioning for the next Tenacious D movie--it's not that kind of amp, BRO. And while I'm at it, why do they also almost always have it sitting up on a stand instead of on the floor; the former makes it sound thin and gutless.
Amp sounds nice like it has a fuzz tone built in. .When will VOX make some large amps that are not another AC30 rehash? How about another Beatle amp? Getting tired of rehashes.
Charles Forssi for full tube, the NT Night Train series and TB Tony Bruno models were forays into other tonal spheres, both of which I enjoyed. Nutube tech has enough models in the non-AC vein as well.
This isn't a demo, more of a first look. As he stated the volume was only on 3 and the gain was way up. This thing easily does Beatles and the shadows type stuff.
@@joeyschreiner I'm a liberal and I agree with you. It's just a try out video. Not everything is about politics, you know, and not all liberals act the same - neither do all conservatives.
