its amazing to me that it sits off next to a small building near some side street in a small town, and its only purpose is to sit up there and make a loud noise. thats a real storm siren!
Theres a ASC T-128 about 175 feet from my house, i am 95 % deaf, and can hear that &%$$@ thing loud and clear on test day without my hearing aids, and with all my windows and doors closed and locked, so that Allertor could probably wake up dead people in their graves! But i wish it was a Thunderbolt instead of what it is!
Wow that is loud. We had these sirens in North Vancouver, Canada during the Cold War. One still stands at Victoria Park near the cenotaph. But we had lots of these mounted near elementary and high schools. With what's going on with N. Korea it might be time to get them working again.
