ACA P-50 Alert & Attack, Siren Test, Milwaukee, WI 10/11/23

Yay a video and yay they finally tested after not testing during the entire summer. So where do i begin well sometime in September i got word from SWS that the county wants a full system replacement of the sirens, the ACA Hurricane is staying for historical purposes, some of the older sirens might be relocated to areas that needs coverage but this siren i recorded i'm not sure. I think it should stay because the downtown area needs this siren, a new T-135 AC/DC would probably do a half ass job. So yeah i'm not really happy at them about the system replacement, so we will see what happens next month and the project should end sometime in early 2024. Anyways wow what an awesome day and i was clearly in the path of the horn as i got an earful and i'm surprised for a 60x zoom camera i got a pretty good shot, also i hope you enjoy the view of my city. You know i love it here but i wish all the dangerous stuff would take a chill pill lol, hope you enjoy the video!

Replaced a B&N Mobil Directo BN52 (most likely got converted to electric)
Milwaukee County Tests on the Second Wednesday of Every Month at 12:00pm WEATHER PERMITTING
Test Time that day: 12:02pm

Just to be clear not only are the P-50’s getting replaced but everything, some old sirens might be relocated to areas that need coverage, even the ASC sirens too are getting replaced which doesn’t make any sense. The ACA Hurricane is staying for historical purposes and another enthusiast called dibs on the Mobil Directo, so it’s going to be in good hands. Fixing the system is a lot cheaper but ok and they’ll probably not keep up maintenance with the new system.

It does suck but let's be real here all the penetrators are showing their age. Especially the P-50s cause like this one in the video, alot of them have worn out horns which is something you can't just patch up and they don't make new ones either ofc. A P-15 recorded by Siren1000T on the same day you filmed this literally had a motor burn out too. It's only a matter of time before the rest of the penetrators start having issues too. On another note I don't really get why they're replacing the Tempest sirens too since those are relatively new, I feel like thats stupid imo.

@@Supersonic_Sirens_TX What's worse is I spent a shit ton of gas money on my pickup truck just to travel ALL the way from the east side the Michigan to Milwaukee (hoping to hear a DT P-15) and that was all I got. Talk about so much disappointment.

Damn the whole system? Bruh milwaukee has the best sirens! Luckily the hurricane is staying, also what's replacing them? Hopefully its not more tempests. Damn

Man, this really sucks. This P-50 is my favorite one in the Milwaukee metro because its mounted high on a building. At least some of these p-50's will be taken to other cities, but it won't be the same.

i think the p-50's are better because they are the loudest that asc and aca made they work pretty good so it is sad to see them go

It's sad to see them go, they're probably already gone now. Is the 130 at Station 39 not being removed?

Actually I live in Milwaukee and nothing has happened yet and ASC right now doesn’t feel like making a new batch of ASC sirens for my county so it could be anywhere from Spring/Summer is when the system replacement project might happen, so the current system will live on for awhile

@@atsf47legit nope it’s still there I live about a mile from it, sadly whenever it gets replaced I will not have possession of it as someone already called dibs on it and i actually wanted a siren that is single phase so either way it’s a win win

I hope someone can get their hands on the Whitefish Bay Allertor, that is if it is being removed, being it's more of a special one. (I've been told it has a 15 hp motor) Also who is doing the replacement? I may see if I can get that Allertor if removed.
