Draw the simple roof and then convert to roof slabs using the convert tool on the ribbon. That gives separate grips and properties for each roof plane.

hi jeremytf77, one can apply converting walls and/or polylines into roof with only "one click", without walls tracing, from pallete tool. You need to select all the walls/polylines you need and then right click the pallete tool. some people , as me)):: like that method very much.
How does one make a single slope roof and change the pivot line from running parallel to a wall, to a pivot line that runs from one corner to an opposite corner? Say a 20' square room and the pivot would be from one corner to the opposite corner leaving the 3rd corner low and the 4th corner high?
