The guy who made this, Jimmy Picker, has been my next door neighbor for 3 years. I literally found out today from him that he had won an Academy Award, so I looked it up. He's an awesome and fun guy to this day.

I saw this at an animation festival and never forgot it. It so epitomized Ed Koch as the picture-perfect, from-the-ground-up mayor who was deeply rooted in the working-class spirit of his city, with a bit of Woody Allen big apple infatuation thrown in. Thanks for posting. Rest in peace, Ed.
I love two of his quotes. While campaigning he said asking for votes, I can get a better job, but the city can't get a better mayor. And when he lost after several terms and his successor Dinkins was such a failure in answer to a question if he decide to run again, he replied, No the people in their wisdom rejected me, so now the people must suffer.
never seen this before looked it up after reading that it was the inspiration for the claymation hamburger scene in the 1985 movie Better of Dead. loved Ed Koch even as a child. Really liked when he was on the people's court. even watched his funeral live here in New York

Any time. I saw this as a kid on The Disney Channel. My favorite scene is where a guy has a boom box playing "Stop... Check The Brakes" and you hear cars piling up.

Mickey's Christmas Carol got beaten by that at the Oscars?! EGADS! That short looks terrible! I'm sorry, but Mickey's Christmas Carol is much better and should've won an Oscar for Best Animated Short Film! This short doesn't look age well.
