So many wonderful integrations have happened within the Power Automate studio which facilitate Adaptive Cards that are quick and easy to leverage in your flows. In this session we will focus on the value of creating Messaging Extensions for Teams using low-code Adaptive Cards in Power Automate. Come to this session if you’re interested in new ideas, demos, and inspiration for how you can help team users provide critical activity updates, search for relevant information, and locate the content they need directly from a Teams conversation!
Joining Reza Dorrani & Daniel Christian aka R&D to provide an overview of "Microsoft Teams Messaging Extensions with Power Automate & Adaptive Cards" is our guest presenter:
⭐ Audrie Gordon (Customer Solution Architect, Power CAT, Microsoft)
We will have demos on Teams Messaging Extensions using flows with adaptive cards, look at new features & live Q/A.
Messaging extensions?
Messaging extensions allow the users to interact with your web service through buttons and forms in the Microsoft Teams client. They can search or initiate actions in an external system from the compose message area, the command box, or directly from a message. You can send back the results of that interaction to the Microsoft Teams client in the form of a richly formatted card. This document gives an overview of the messaging extension, tasks performed under different scenarios, working of messaging extension, action and search commands, and link unfurling.
Adaptive Cards?
Adaptive Cards are platform-agnostic snippets of UI, authored in JSON, that apps and services can openly exchange. When delivered to a specific app, the JSON is transformed into native UI that automatically adapts to its surroundings. It helps design and integrate light-weight UI for all major platforms and frameworks.

Thanks Reza & Christian, Between learning more Azure AI tools, finding custom action possibilities with C# code, finding Office Scripts, & learning about adaptive cards, I’m getting excited for both what direct contributors can design and for what tools & templates people can design for the community!

Hi Rezza and Daniel, Great content as always. I was wondering if you can create a video on How to distribute Power BI reports with large audience, best practises of it, how to manage the dataset accesses, report accesses & Power BI Apps accesses effectively, that would be great. And also, even sometimes if the dataset or dataflow owner is not available in organization anymore, then how can we manage take over part or is it possible to organize this with Service Principals, etc. Basically a report distribution life cycle after report creation. Thanks and regards, Rohit

good day Reza, ive been using many of your videos to learn about power apps but i have found a weird problem. the camera feature in power apps is not working on my PC or notebook. it works only on mobile. the camera works just fine, i can see the camera on the PC or a notebook working in the app but the second take a picture it comes back as a black screen. while on any mobile it works perfectly. any idea what could be causing this?

I have not come across this issue on desktop. Might have to do with your browser version. I will recommend checking on the forums at powerusers.microsoft.com/ in case someone has run into a similar issue.

Is their any way to add dynamic values for the input choice in the popup when click the action button in the message?

If its the trigger action of the flow then No. If its an action of the flow, then yes.

I'm confused on how flows are created.stored - if I create a flow via Power Automate in the popout tab, I am unable to see this flow when try to select from actions in my Power Virtual Agents chatbot in Teams. There seems to be 2 separate environments with flows. Thanks for the help.

I totally understand your question. Here is a community post that breaks this down really well. Let us know if you need additional context: powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Virtual-Agents-Community/Where-Are-My-Flows-When-Building-Power-Virtual-Agents-In-Teams/ba-p/750882

Hi Reza, we are using kaizala for all our communication to the field technician. But microsoft is retiring the kaizala app on August 2023. Our requirement is to send chat messages to our user directly and not to any channels or teams group. Due to confidentially we would like to deliver the chat messages only to the concerned person. Can you guide how can this be done? .
@RezaDorrani
@RezaDorrani Год назад
I believe there is an option to do that. I do not have any video reference on it though. I will recommend posting your query on forums in case someone has done something similar powerusers.microsoft.com

@@RezaDorrani I'm one of those weirdo types that has a hard time learning something unless I see practical, real world applications. It's almost debilitating. Once I learn practical examples, I can then extrapolate all sorts of new things on my own; but I need that initial assist to get me over that first obstacle. Your respective channels have given me that initial assist, and I am forever grateful. If you ever have a moment of doubt about the value of your work, please allow me to offer that you and Daniel helped someone who gets to make sure young Soldiers get their pay, promotions, whatnot, and they can operate safely and effectively when helping people when disaster strikes.
