Great Video.! The complete package! This is my "new program " Exactly what I was looking for! Track work plus relevant exercises And gym work! Thank you so much!.
Hey idk if you watch my videos but yesterday i did 5x30m. I got a 4.14 4.10 4.05 4.16 4.17. My first 60m ever is next Friday in New Orleans at Dillard. For someone who never did a 60m,(doing 4 this season) what else do you recommend for drive phase and acceleration? I want to hopefully hit 3.99 to 4.15 30m sets soon after first starting at 4.35/4.49 30m sets earlier in my training
Currently at the gym and was thinking about powerful extension from flexion for a powerful start and the hang snatch can be tiring to get in position then flex the hip and extend and so on, but I found another method less taxing and focus is only in the extension. Seated snatch, sit on box as low as they get in sprint set position about 90 degrees, then rest barbell on upper thighs near hips and legs side of box and under centre of mass and explosively extend hip and stand bringing barbell as high possible and then catch in snatch or clean. Maybe just as effective. Cheers as always for the excellent content.
Hey bro, I know in previous videos you mentioned how stride frequency isn’t necessarily as important as the actual strength of each stride. But is there any exercise’s or drills to improve my quickness SPECIFICALLY right out the blocks. I feel as though I’m the hulk crushing the ground every step.
Over summer during a 1.90 fly 20m I was at 4.45. I’ve hit higher like 4.6+ but didn’t see any faster times with that. Will do another analysis soon on a fast day to see if it’s changed.
Dude, i did nothing but short hill sprints for more than a year, 30m, 40m, and 60m, and i never went to the track. I have noticed that my 30m block starts have improved but my top speed has suffered abit, i have no idea why. Is it because of the inclination of the hill might have effected my leg angles and must have turned them into a more acceleration based angle? My flying 30m times just do not get lower than a sub 3.
Yeah basically you never hit velocities high enough or positions to truly work on top speed. But if you now add in more flat ground speed work, you should be able to both keep you improved 30m while also increasing your top speed.
@@ATHLETE.X Its sometimes so frustrating, even though I used to race cars while sprinting up a bridge, i thought that a flying 40m uphill on a bridge would increase my top speed.
Do you place it on 10 meter or 10.80??? I have a laser timing system and when i do my 30 flys the freelap and my laser timer system are the same when it’s exactly at 30 and 60 not 30.80
