Ian Gillain introduced this one on a late night radio show and Accept got way bigger almost overnight. Also Udo Dirkschneider is such a brilliant Kraut name.

Man...this is, i think from 1982.. Accept is a german band, they are one from the first realy fast and heavy bands. One of my first heavy bands i hear. A little crazy boy who hear heavy metal 🤘🤘.. iron maiden, saxon, accept, manowar... so long ago :-) best wishes from germany

As a German I love the level of trolling this intro is. The first time I've played that song to my friends I got dirty looks because of how much they hated it. As soon as it switched to the main song I got dirty looks again because they aren't metal heads and that part simply was too much for them. I also love to request this song in metal clubs - always a good indicator if the DJ is actually a metal fan or not - if it stops before the main part of the song sets in they're not a metal fan :>

Accept is one of the titans of the 80's.This band never got the respect it deserved.Udo is an amazing screamer, & Wolf is a tasty riff writer & a writes melodic solos of legato puncuated with furious riffing.One thing is for sure, when you hear Accept you recognize it instantly cuz they are one of those unique bands.Maybe try "Fight it Back" from the album Balls to the Wall.This track has one of the most epic screams in metal right before the guitar solo.It will surely impress.

Einer der ersten Speedmetal Songs überhaupt! Ich mein der Sound ist heut noch brachial. Wenn man sich dann überlegt, wann Fast As A Shark raus kam... Wobei ich noch eher ein Fan von Restless and Wild bin.

Glad that you liked this little fun song :-) Accept is a legendary German metal band, formed in 1968!!! (as Band X) so they are dinosaurs of Metal as well. Playing metal for over 50 years, insane.... They are still putting out albums, Love, Michael

These guys are HIGHLY underrated. I remember being put on to these guys from an old friend of mine and he gave me their whole first album and made me promise to listen to the whole thing in one sitting when I had the time. He warned me about the lead singers voice. The album is flawless, you guys need to listen to it at some point. Start to finish, a masterpiece. #Accept Guardians of the night

I've seen Accept live a number of times and the only other band on this earth I can think of as tight as Accept was Rush. They had their act together and respect for the audience. Great band, one of the best ever. Nobody could sing like Udo.

My girlfriend just dont get my music at all but we are a couple. I like to find her cover of her top 40 hits remade and cover by my metal type bands... she really gets a kick out of the heavy metal covers

The entire album this is off of (Restless and Wild) is perfect from start to finish. The songs Flash Rocking Man and Princess of the Dawn are my favorites off it.

Just saw your video. That took me back to my youth when i was a metal freak, i had all of accept's and ac/dc's records and i followed Udo to his new group U.D.O when he left accept. Fast as a shark is still one of my favorite songs. Best wishes from Denmark

I love how this song and "The Last in Line" by Dio start out mellow and "BAM!" get loud and powerful. This is one of those songs I heard back in the 80's and really sticks out.

It could be considered as the very first speed metal of the world and to the contrary of much later examples from other bands, this is still melodic (you can whistle the melody) and defined as in one step from messy noise.

#Accept Restless and Wild. You should check the whole Restless and Wild album, released in 1982. With this album Accept are the pioneers of speed metal and thrash metal. And a lot of people doesn't know the difference between these two genres, they are similar genres, but not the same. But at the end it doesn't matter, as long if it's metal then it's great 🤘🤘🤘

It's not muffled, it's just old. It doesn't sound like 1982, but it was a little ahead of it's time. Really clean production wasn't the norm till the following years

And thank you for keeping your format as it is, because as you said the reactions on other channels don't seem genuine and feel patronizing when they pause and go. Not monetizing your videos is probably the biggest way to stay safe...and as you said you have found...you may have to email bands reps every once in a while to set it straight.

I am DEFINATLY a male ;) .Ingo is the German Version of Ian.THIS is GERMAN METAL HISTORY!Every German Metal Fan knows the Folk Song Intro for sure ;) ....the fastest Song for many years.Released in 1982.UDO DIRKSCHNEIDER,the Singer,is a Legend,formed also his own Band U.D.O.!Formed in 1980 in Solingen,a small town next to my Hometown Düsseldorf.Next Reaction Songs from Accept : Balls to the Wall,Restless and Wild,Princess of the Dawn....(by the way,my Surname "von der Lühe" means "from the River Lühe " and its one of the oldest German Noble Names,about 1300 Years old).

Accept were the first band I ever saw live, back in 1986. They were incredibly loud and very good live. Great fun too, and not very PC!

Thanks for the shout out guys. \m/ ACCEPT is basically the answer to "What if AC/DC and Judas Priest had a loud German baby". This song and Motorhead's OVERKILL are basically the start of thrash metal. The singer Udo Dirkschneider (who looks like a blonde Patton Oswalt in army pants) split off in 86 and formed his own band called U.D.O., and they have some decent songs too. Accept has had a new lead singer for the past 10 years and they've done some great albums in that time.

Udo is to 80s metal as Brian Johnson of AC/DC was to hard rock, they have the same gritty kind of vocal style.

Funny tie in, one of Accepts' early hits was "I'm A Rebel" which was originally written for AC/DC by Angus and Malcom's older brother George.

@@mbo191 It's Udo, the song is off 1982's Restless & Wild, the only album Udo wasn't on in the 80s was Eat The Heat with David Reece. I saw that tour with Metal Church & WASP, Reece sucked, he got the tour cancelled and was promptly fired never to be heard from again. Udo returned for 3 more albums in the 90s then disbanded for a decade then reformed in 2009 with Mark Tornillo who's been the vocalist up till now.

The intro to the track is a snippet from a crackly old children's recording of a traditional German tune titled Ein Heller und ein Batzen (A Farthing and a Penny). 😐

Accept is one of the earliest bands with that speed and heaviness. Udo is a legendary vocalist! Fun fact...the intro German track is controversial in the aspect that hitler youth used to sing that one. It existed before them, that group just perverted its originality “even though the song dated from 1830, it was a popular marching song during the Nazi era and still held that connotation for many listeners, a fact the band was unaware of at the time. “

Also.. there's a lot of requests for Balls To the Wall... which is a must listen... but if you do that one, be sure to do the original album track, *not* the music video.. as the music video has a whole section of censored lyrics. - Ft. It's all good Kel, I once had a teacher in grade 6 that hard a real hard time understanding the name of the band "The Who" He kepts saying who?and the student trying to explain said "The Who" which the teacher repeatedly kept saying "Who?" The rest of the class was doing their best to NOT roll on the floor laughing.🤣

React channels that stop the song to discuss are missing the point. In high school back in the early 80's, I had a drafting class with a cool teacher. He had installed a stereo system and allowed us to play our music. I would bring Accept, Judas Priest, Dio , etc, and it was the best class of the day for me.
