Acceptance Angle :
The acceptance angle of an optical fiber is defined based on a purely geometrical consideration (ray optics): it is the maximum angle of a ray (against the fiber axis) hitting the fiber core which allows the incident light to be guided by the core.
What is numerical aperture and acceptance angle?
The Numerical Aperture (NA) is a measure of how much light can be collected by an optical system such as an optical fibre or a microscope lens. The NA is related to the acceptance angle a, which indicates the size of a cone of light that can be accepted by the fibre.
What is the significance of numerical aperture?
The significance of NA is that light entering in the cone of semi vertical angle im only propagate through the fibre. The higher the value of im or NA more is the light collected for propagation in the fibre. Numerical aperture is thus considered as a light gathering capacity of an optical fibre.
What is cone of acceptance?
Acceptance Cone. In Fiber optics, the cone within which Optical Power may be coupled into the bound Modes of an optical fiber. Note: The acceptance cone is derived by rotating the Acceptance Angle about the fiber axis.

7:00-7:15 isn't that wrong because you have written sin(theta_c)=n_2/n_1 then when you substitute sin(theta_c) you have written n_1/n_2 instead basically the inverteed value how is that possible? oh sorry never mind saw in the video that you corrected that error!
