Your work is really impressive! It seems to me that you're already a professional artist, especially in 3D. Which makes me really wonder what is the purpose of the school, if the people they accept are already this good. xD Congrats anyway!
Part of secondary schools, especially art related schools, show proof of achievement. So when you are going to try and get hired by a studio, being able to flash your graduation certificate from a school, such as this one, is pretty appealing. But definitely, if you plan on doing freelance, or already have connections, it might not be worth it. This is just my perspective though
This is really helpful because I’m going to apply straight out of highchool and I won’t be enrolling in any special programs, so it’s really inspiring to see that you can get a high score on the first try! Congratulations!
You could probably just apply to a studio and get a job if you wanted. Your work is better than some grads i know. Im sure a studio would totally snatch you up and train you. Amazing work
Your portfolio is very good don't feel soo bad about not being able to go for financial reasons and who knows maybe you could get some extra money through RU-vid of twitch. Also your vioce is very relaxing would be cool if you did like speedpaint story times or something similar.
This was beautiful to watch. You're a wonderful artist, and you'll go very far! I wish you good luck in the animation school! Can't wait to see more of your work
this is really helpful and there are a couple things said here that i haven't heard in the other sheridan animation portfolio videos i've seen! thanks a bunch!
this is super inspirational! also do you know how early in advance the discord groups are made. i'm not sure if being in a sheridan hopefuls year dedicated to people who are closer to submitting applications to college would be good for someone like me who isn't even a senior.
@@rainebows Heyy, thank you for the kind words! 💜 The discord group does make a new one every year, but they welcome anyone of any age regardless of when you will be applying. It's really up to you but I have seen high schoolers who are still just prepping there because they do hold group practices/study which is great for newbies!
Thank you for this video! Im calm now that i know i can do the layouts digitally since all the ones i had seen before were traditional and im mainly a digital artist 😞💧
Thank you so much for the video it was very helpful! Also congrats, you are really skilled!! I am still in highschool. Do you recommend wether I should explore 3D animation/modeling? if so where do you think I should start?
Heyy, being a highschool student opens up SO many possibilities! Don't feel pressured to decide right now, I say you should pursue what interests you and build from there :) Definitely consider strengthening your basics because with a strong foundation, everything else should come smoothly. Remember, this will be a life-long career and as long as you're moving/learning, the possibilities are near endless! Good luck 💛
i wonder how exactly this portfolio is made, the part exclluding the personal artwork anyway. Do you do it in live time like an exam or do you have months until the actual application deadline to practice as much as you'd like and then submit whichever works (that fit the criteria)?
I have been watching similar portfolio videos, for a long time. I just wanna ask that is it for bachelor's or masters degree/ program ? Actually, i have recently completed my graduation in Bachelor's in design ( multimedia) and now I am willing to pursue my masters in animation at Sheridan. I am an Indian, in case any Indian student is pursuing the degree -be it bachelor's or masters please do reply . I request others too to share their experience with me. if there is any forum or discord server where i can know more about it please do let me know. Please do it ASAP. max within a week or two.
This is something I can't understand, why would you need to go to an art school when you already know so much about 3D, animating and everything. You already have a professional level why would you spent +50K. I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just genuinely confused.
Oh no worries, I think your question is valid. For me, it was a personal decision I wanted to make to further my dreams and career! I'm sure the scenario is different for everyone ☺ Plus I felt like I had more to learn and gain from attending as well
