I decided to create this video, because I have never seen Gobelins application videos on RU-vid. It is very surprising, because Gobelins is a very famous animation school. If such a video existed when I applied- I would be less anxious and more productive at the time of my application. My goal is to help the future Gobelins applicants to go through stressful times of concourse and succeed!
Even though, this video contains pure information - I tried to make it as entertaining as possible! Please, remember, that I am not a native English speaker and I tried my best.
In this particular video I will tell you about my story of application (I like to read ones myself), the new bachelor program, the documents required and, finally, exams.
If you have any questions- please, ask me! I am very interested in having more cool schoolmates:)

Thank you so much for making this video ! It was very insightful and encouraging as well 😇. I am at my last year of High-school and will soon be graduating in July 2022, I would love to apply right after my graduation however, I am feeling a little insecure about my portfolio as I attend a general high-school and I could not really focus all my attention to my art especially being in my senior years 🥲 and I am thinking of taking a gap year instead , One question though , How many time a year do Gobelin open their admission ? is it during Winter ? fall? Or Summer ? . I was searching around and could not really find any informations about it and thought that knowing the rough deadline would helped me to prepare 😅. Thank you so much though fir this video ! i really enjoyed it and it really motivates me !

Thanks so much for taking the time to make this! My question is if you think the program is right for someone (me haha) who aspires to be a visual development or storyboard artist and not an animator but still wants to make films. In the portfolio is your animation work valued more highly or do you think they would accept someone with a greater focus on pre-production work?

Such a great question! The first year of Gobelins is solely visual development + a bit of storyboarding! Even though the second course has more animation focus - there are still a lot of additional assignments like animatic, character design, etc. Lots of people from Gobelins become visual development artists after graduation:) I, personally, would like to do chara design an story in the future, so I definitely recommend the school!

At what age does Goblin accept students for the master's degree? Exactly how old should he be when he applies and what should be his age when his application is accepted?

Thank you for your really helpful videos! :) I just have a question : I applied to Gobelins animation prepa in December 2020, and I noticed that candidates are allowed to upload works that are up to one year old maximum. I will apply again soon for the Bachelor. Does that mean that if I apply in November 2021, I can upload works from November 2020? Or should they be as old as March 2021, since the deadline is March 2022?

sadly im from a country which is not a part of eurpean union and i was prepearing for an animation uni and since our country's economy is 30x lower than dollars i was hoping that i can be good enough to get some scholarship to be able to get in but now just because of where i was born its so unfair even how i try and study to improve it wouldnt matter... is there any other way i can do?

Sorry for the late question here, but is there an age limit on applying to Gobelins? Because some people say that they do, but the official twitter account of the campus said that there isn’t any :o

Спасибо большое за видио! Прости если это было в видио и я прослушала, но в какое время (месяц) нужно подавать документы и выставлять портфолио или в любое время до 5 марта?) И правильно ли я поняла что поступать в тот же год когда заканчиваешь школу нельзя так как аттестат выдают в конце года, а дедлайн для портфолио в начале весны?

Подача документов открывается 8 ноября! Поступать в тот же год можно, нужно только вместо диплома загрузить пояснительную записку о том, что диплом будет получен и прислан в конце года:) я бы, конечно, ещё написала в поддержку абитуриентов, чтобы они объяснили, как правильно ее писать. Главное, чтобы на момент начала обучения Вам было 18 лет и всё:)

What is the exact name of your course? And also what is full form of ARFA?

The exact name of the course is ARFA/CAAF. Arfa from French- animateur et réalisateur de film d’animation. CAAF from English- character animation and animated filmmaking:) these are the same things
