As a conductor I can tell you: I have seen many, many people fall during choir rehearsals and concerts. Especially students. It's the combination of standing for a long time and singing.
As a pianist who accompanied this song multiple times, 6:32 had my ears bleeding! 😂😂😂 but I love that the organist finally redeems himself and ends up finding the right chord by the time the conductor closes!! 😂😂

5:22 I don’t blame him, there was first a camera shutter and then a cough, during my induction day to high school I was asked to play the piano , I played the up to what I knew of Chopin’s nocturne opus 9 no 2 ( about half way through ). Nobody shut up through out the piece , I could hear every word and people laughing, I’m sure they weren’t laughing about me, I hope. One girl even said aloud I can’t see his fingers and then leant over the piano and for rest of the piece stared at me then my fingers and at me then my fingers and so on, I played the piece terribly but people still congratulated me
The video of the music teacher breaking the instrument at 6:07 is out of context. In the original video, after the teacher says "Do you know what day it is today? " The kid who's instrument was broken says "APRIL FOOL'S day! " And pulls out her real instrument ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Dbf-K3Mzffs.html . Please don't play half of the video next time lol...
@@TheSUPERspiderman126 At first I thought it was real. then I read some of the comments and found out that it was an, ill-conceived, performance. I guess in a similar way to how Tchaikovsky used real cannons in on of his songs.
@@jeremiahnoar7504 oh yeah, that was a performance. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C82AxMMXrtg.html This is the original video, that was cool.
I've experienced two events like these. 1) While we were playing Carmina burana in an open air concert, the first trumpet player fainted right at the end of "O Fortuna" and fell of his chair. He was alright. 2) A few days ago while we were recording for the Geneva wind music contest, a cameraman fainted while standing above the orchestra. He fell right on our first clarinet player, who had to go to hospital to get some stitches on his head. They were both alright.
0:41 This is the Portsmouth Sinfonia, where the musicians purposely played instruments they were not trained to play, so this is not an accident as it is on purpose. Just like the gun shot at 5:51, the angry conductor at 5:58 and maybe more.
Obrigado vim aos comentários pensando : " QUE triste !!! Fazendo comédia com um SUICÍDIO OU ASSASSINATO ?? Tinha até DESCER TIDO O VÍDEO !!! E , OBRIGADO GOOGLE POR TRAZER AGORA A TRADUÇÃO (TOP) ABRAÇO UUUUUUFAAAAA 😲😲😲😲😲
The recording of the Portsmouth Sinfonia playing this is one of the funniest things I have ever heard. It had me when it was first released in the 1970s and it still makes me weak with laughter. Thing is, although nobody was playing an instrument they knew how to play and some people were beginners, everyone was giving it their very best and at no point do you lose track of what the piece is supposed to sound like. Their other recordings are almost as good. This was not a comedy act, it had a serious musical purpose. You can listen to the whole of their wonderful "also spake zarathustra" here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hpJ6anurfuw.html and if you are interested in the ideas behind this there's a wikipedia page. I wore the original LP down till it couldnt be played any more, and still visit their youtube pages when I need cheering up.
@@iadtag1853 It is a piece of music by David Holsinger called "A little mystery music." I believe the gunshot is written in, but it is completely fake.
0:52-0:57.... Somebody sounds like an out of tune train horn... 🤦♂️😆 That boy that dropped his cymbal had a good save when he saluted the flag... it was kinda funny the girl with the bass drum was laughing at him, and the kid with the snare just kept staring straight ahead like a member of the Queens Guard, never missed a beat or changed his facial expression... 😆
Lynn Monkres I don’t think it was a true meltdown. Did you hear what he said at the end? “ Do you know what day is today?” The video was cut off right there. But I think he would have continued saying “It’s April Fool’s Day!”
The clip is full length elsewhere. It’s an April fool’s day prank. Unfortunately I had a band instructor like that and he wasn’t a jokester. He was a nightmare and he hated everyone and everything. Mr. Priest.
.I can't laugh because I was a musician myself and the conductor once told to me suddenly to improvise in the middle of a music, which I didn't know the harmony. I deny multiple times, but he insisted , and It was a disaster I never forget! hahaha Thank god it was before people have cell phone, if not, I could be one of those accidents aux concerts! Thank you for post!
@game Soares It is disrespectful what the class did, they all were noisy nobody listened , a bunch of idiots and bad educated pupils . The teacher did absolutly right I would have done the same.
En el tercer video, las trompetas le hicieron el día al director. Y el muchacho al que se le voló un platillo y resolvió con un saludo a la bandera, merece una condecoración
4:32 You can see that the conductor had a grin on his face. He and the girl were feeding off each other, and both tried hard not to laugh. You can see both of them look at each other and then look away from each other so that they wouldn't break down. The poor girl finally lost it at the end, so she turned away from the audience. Big props to the little guy who kept his composure throughout, with only a slight grin.
Explanation: it was not a murder. Before that guy takes the gun out someone turned off the light as part of scenario performance and to let the light's gun shot flashes up as all whole murdering drama. The gun shot performance was part of the end of masterpiece.
1:58 damn those girls next to him are cold n apathique as a stalagmite, am sure if the scenario was the other way around guy would've caught her not getting brain damage
I'm 50 years old. I've seen it all before .... but OMG! 4:06 You just know what's going to happen...you saw it in a "Farside" cartoon, 4:37 start laughing and then 4:44 cry with laughter. Comic genius!
2 of them weren't accidents: The "gunshot" one was part of the show. Clearly the stage lights went out for the "shot." And the one where the teacher broke the violin, that was an april fools day prank on the class between that student and the teacher.
The third one is not a fail: it's the Portsmouth Sinfonia, absurd orchestra with fun concepts. In this one the musicians have exchanged their instruments and try to follow the parts without knowing how to play :D
These things happen it’s good they all seemed cool and professional. I feel sorry for that boy in the back row that took a nasty tumble and poor old specs at 4.38.
4:38 guy reminded me whats it is to be an American, perhaps not perfect, certainly not the best looking, but God love him, American through and through...and without thinking, a wink in his eye as well! Trust me he is saluting the flag and not his little brother.
American from where? People from Canada, Cuba, Argentina, Perù, etc. are also americans. Do you mean US-citizens, (seldom said: Usonian by adding the ending -ian as: Italian, Canadian, Algerian etc.)
@@billgucci8378 Only for less educated people. Others know that America is much larger that USA: Canada, Brazil, etc. The word Usonian was very good, but maybe the secret plan is to conquer the whole America so that's why Usonians call themselves Americans, even teaching that in school. Please look to a map of the world :)
@@billgucci8378 That is not correct. Mexican, Colobian, Argentina's people... are just as American as the U.S. citizens. Spanish people are as Europeans as Germans or Italian people.
My vocal teacher would have all her students do a recital roughly 2-4 times a year. One of those recitals was a disaster. It was just brutal - over half the performers (voice and piano) choked. Forgotten lyrics, poorly played pieces...it just kept happening. I was pretty close with my teacher, and she told me she was just gripping her seat the entire time... I actually do well in those situations, and am very thankful that I didn't forget any lyrics lol! And you could actually feel the audience relax once it became clear that I wasn't going to choke. Not that I'm above it, but I'm glad it at least didn't happen that time.
It's something really stupid to include a video of an student who has a memorie problem in a concert. Viralize videos of children being embarrassed could ruin their lives.
The American kid loves and respects his country because his country treats the people well. No need to tell ,instruct or brainwash the children what and how to .
