Accountable Care Organizations: The Pioneer ACO Model 

In January, 2012, 32 organizations began their participation in the Pioneer ACO Model. The Pioneer ACO Model encourages primary care doctors, specialists, hospitals and other caregivers to provide better, more coordinated care for people with Medicare.
