You Interveiwed me at the start of the game yesterday and what an absolute boss you was, I hope we see you at another Stanley match good luck on your future
Huge fan of your videos mate, I’ve watched hundreds now I’m sure! Only just come across this one, Stanley is literally 5 mins from my house so if I’d of known you were down for the game I’d of come for a pint with you mate 🍻 I was there the other night for the Plymouth game, it’s an amazing little club that’s punching above it’s weight and working with what it’s got, a really welcoming community spirit too with great Ultras in the Clayton End! The work that was being done when you visited was a brand new bar they’ve called Coleys after John Coleman after his success with the club, it’s a really smart bar and it’s incredible to see how far the club has come in the space of a few years! They are definitely my second team and I’m going to be visiting a lot more 🔴⚪️
The club has come on leaps and bounds since holt went in, when he went in the stadium was a ground that belonged in the national north at best, they could only sign players on shirt contracts no training facility’s now the ground looks excellent the team on the rise, growing fan base, great club from a neighbour (Blackburn fan)
Wow this is quality! Brilliant research and a lovely setting for a stadium! Another win for The Stanley, who knows what they could do this season 👀 Also love Futbology and use it to track all games
Class video mate, been there quite a few times, our record there is awful aswell but I really like the stadium & it’s a very friendly club aswell. Keep up the quality content!
Great this, alot of effort gone into it especially in terms of research. Would love to see you come down to my team Peterborough one time, we're now in the championship & the game is guaranteed to have goals. In our last 4 home games there's been at least 1 goal in extra time. Definitely worth the trip & we're the only Championship team to still have a terrace. The atmosphere is electric!!
I'm from Accrington, support burnley and lived in Burnley all of my life. But I also watch out for Accrington and go on a few games if burnley aren't playing. Good little Club If you get chance you should come. Burnley for a video in the cricket field end. Great fans great atmosphere, good video again mate 👍🏻
And we’ve kept to our roots with the players joining us in the marquee for a drink after the game. Glad you enjoyed your day at our lovingly named tinpot club xx
I love love love how you gave a brief history of obscure clubs with long history as non-league teams. Great, entertaining stuff! Keep up the good work. And Stanley Villa was such a great name for a football club; the team should have adopted that name instead.
This guy has been everywhere .......I especially liked your visit to the Ayrshire Juniors...........Who I follow with great interest !!! Keep up the good work matey !!!!
5:00 Great reference to a cool feature Sam! I actually was at Belgium v Czech Republic yesterday and it popped up and now I'm already seeing it in action in this vid hehe.
Smashing club, I was there on my 50th birthday in 2012 as part of a big North West Groundspotting Mission. It was a Sunday and the groundsman was just about to lock up, but he insisted I come in for a look around and even showed me inside the two tiny changing rooms, the away side's one clearly being the smallest ... lol It looks like it has changed a lot since then, hopefully it is now actually possible to swing a cat in them !!
Great video, was at this game too, first time going since we won the conference, was all different then, the stand had no roof then and where the marquee is now was all gravel and like a building site..... Come a long way this club :)
used to play at Peel Park also great one that really enjoyed that miss being able to go football gutted always nice to see some where where i never managed to get to
New subscriber, spent hours on your videos already, stunning quality. Particularly enjoy your Scottish videos as a relocated Scot, I saw Accrington Stanley play last week as it happens, they were the visitors to Stadium MK.
Quick brief history of senior football in Accrington as you got quite a bit of the history mixed up - understandable really given the relatively complex history. Yes you were right to mention the name Stanley Villa, but they were linked to the original Accrington Stanley FC who went bankrupt in 1962 and used to play at Peel Park. Stanley Villa took the name Accrington Stanley after Accrington FC (correctly described as founder members of the Football League) dropped out of the league in 1893 and finally disbanded in 1896. Accrington Stanley FC then joined the Football League in 1921 remaining a league club for 41 years right up until their demise in 1962. The current club are a phoenix club and have no connection with Stanley Villa FC or the original Accrington Stanley FC, other than playing in the town of Accrington.
It used to be in terrible condition but owner Andy holt invested loads of money into the stadium and training complex building a new 4G football hub for the community building a new stand and renovating two others and a lot more! Accrington is one of the few clubs in the efl run correctly and for the fans and the fans only!
We will be playing Accrington Stanley this season they remind me of Wimbledon in a way punching well above there weight. They have a manager who as been there for ages and I imagine they have the lowest budget in the league. We played Shrewsbury yesterday and drew. We started well and the fans were in confident mood. But we lost at morcambe got battered against Plymouth. I suppose teams will play well against us as the owls are a big team. We assembled a squad that should do well but league one is a hard league and nobody as the right to go straight back up you only have to look at Sunderland who have been stuck in the league for a few years.
If Burton Albion could do it then why not?........ Not a lot of teams would like coming here, one time Fulham had to come here for a cup match....they refused to use our dressing rooms lol
@@cal-efc8062 yeah there really is, friendly club too, that white marquee tent in the video is open to both home and away fans, beer and pies served with a bit of live music..... Great atmosphere all round
@@demonicgolfer819 sounds good lad hopefully Everton get you in FA cup be a good away and another ground to tick off haha I never got to go the friendly few years back. Good luck for the season hope you’s go up
Great video I still need to go to accrington Stanley they should do a up to date advert with that kid as a man same actor dont know why they have not 🚜🚜🚜🤣
Worse thing that could happen to Accy Stanley would be getting promoted to the Championship. They’d have to make huge changes to the ground including making it all-seater. A few teams have suffered getting promoted way too out of their league. (pun intended). Stockport being the one that comes to mind. They both were, in League 1, above what a club their sizes should be. Stockport League 1, 2 at worse size, Stanley League 2 at best, more like National leagues if we’re honest. Smallest stadium in league football with a lot of non league teams with bigger stadiums and fan bases, some vastly bigger.
You've seen Shrewsbury Town away at Accrington, now come see us at home! If you liked the flags in this video you'll love all the flags in the South Stand at Shrewsbury! 🏴🏳 Drop me a message if you want to meet up 😀
Accrington Stanley who are they exactly Bournemouth Wimbledon barrow they are all AFCs arsenal fan tv Auba dropping the trophy Aston Villa conceding goals that just don’t count
Just relegate us already 🤦🏼♂️ Wafer thin squad, manager doesn’t seem interested, striker offering our fans out after the game, rumours of the chairman selling the club to god knows who. Not looking good. But keep the faith, STFCTID 🔵🟠
