I have it on Sopra 1s. I think it is one of the worst amplifiers I have ever heard. It is incredibly bright and thin. Remote control and build quality are of course excellent but this amplifier is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for what it is. There is literally no aspect of the sound which is agreable. I have experimented already with interconnects, power cords, speaker cables, etc. with no change whatsoever.The amplifier is voiced for classical music only and cannot be used for anything else. Frankly, I have 75 hours on this new unit and have already scheduled to return it to my dealer. Accuphase is a MASSIVE DISAPPOINTMENT. I have no idea what the Japanese engineers were smoking but they have really done a horrific job on this amplifier. It sounds terrible.
@@FJBx100 First of all, If you have it new give it a 150 hour non stop warm up. Second of all Accuphase integrateds overall have rich and slightly warm tone with relativly hefty bass. It's rather substantial not thin. Third of all, price in the US is very high for all Accuphase gear - and it will never be a bargain. But in therms of sound, most of E- 4xx sounds luxurious, vastly and content - detailed but with almost vacum tone. For your disappoinment look for your source - this is what e-480 is amplifieing. Accuphase bright sound - buahahahahaha, thats a good one :)
@@cutiepie3475 I am fully satisfied with e480, which is also the only mosfet amp in the ab class in Accuphase lineup. Class a has even better sound but is too limited in power, unless you go with separate power amp
