I went with a Athlon Helos BTR 2-12X40 rifle scope. It is short enough to clear the charging handle. And I also picked up a set of high Vortex Pro series rings. They are cut out in the center. You can actually use the iron sights with this set up. I have the same stock. Sent my trigger pack off to Bill Springfield. Picked up his recoil buffer system as well. LMT has their 308 muzzle brake on sale right now. Normally $135. Now $25.00.
Great looking setup! Both of my PTR-91s really like the Federal M80 149gr ammo. They consistently shoot ~1.5 MOA groups with it. In case you're looking at trying some different ammo.
@@dannyboy4805 Around 1 MOA with my handloads, 1.5-2 MOA with M80 or steel case ammo. The MKE in therms of quality it is identical with a modern HK MP5. The only bad thing is the glossy black finish, it scratches verry easy. I removed the original paint and used heat resistant oven paint, now it looks amazing.
@@lukaszimmermann2215 , that´s nice for a battle rifle. I have the HK SL7. Mecanically it´s a G3 with a wood stock. With the Winchester XP .308 150gr, in a good day and if I do my part, I can get under M.O.A . Average is about 1.0-1.3 M.O.A. Have you tried this bullet?
Awesome build! I bought the PTR Sniper edition. Mine is one hole at 100 yards if I let the barrel cool down with Winchester 885. It will string straight up if I don't. I have a Vortex Viper PST Gen 1 on mine.
PTR is really good at discontinuing great guns like the super sniper. I had to email them requesting they produce them again, said they were thinking about it...
