Accurate Yorkshire Television Start Up From The 1970's

After consultation with the experts here is an updated start-up routine.
Colour Bars with 100Khz tone for one minute, Fade to black screen for one minute, Yorkshire March starts with YTV caption, changing to YTV Ident.
Thanks to the guys on the YTV Facebook group for the insight.

Great to hear Redvers Kyle's voice again, a great part of my life growing up listening to announcements from Redvers. Always seem to remember his regularly used phrase during technical issues, "The gremlins appear to be in the works....." 👍

The composer is Derek New, the melody based around the 'Ilkla Moor Bah T'at' refrain. Ron Goodwin delivered a Dambusters-style arrangement.

Derek New's other well-known piece was "College Boy", used as the signature to "University Challenge" since the late 1960s.

I'm sure I wasn't the only kid to pretend to conduct the orchestral to this in the 70's! I love it. I never found out where the orchestral recording was made. Nice visual representation 😃

'Yorkshire Television March', by Derek New, arranged by Ron Goodwin. The same chap who did the music to, '633 Squadron', and, 'The Battle of Britain.'

@@j0hnf_uk Thanks for the info. I wonder where it was recorded? My guess would be in the YTV studios themselves as they had all the facilities there, but I suppose it could have been recorded anywhere.
