Sundar in his testimony said that he did not identify as a Brahmin or even a Hindu, and now it's only the Hindu community who's got his back. This should encourage him to wear his identity on his sleeve and not be an intellectual coward. You may pretend you don't have a religious or caste-based identity, but your enemies certainly know what your identity is and will hound you for it.

Sundar needs to sue the California CRD for millions.

The targeting of Sundar Iyer is harrowing and a warning to every Indian American and Hindu who feels they are safe from the caste dragnet due to personal behavior or values. This is profiling based on your religion and ethnicity and seemingly innocuous preferences like your last name, being vegetarian, sending kids to Bal Vihar etc.

Sundar Iyer ji is being so kind to call the Dalit accuser as “John Doe” an anonymous name. The California court has since released his name which is Chetan Narsude. This name should be known to everybody as the face of bigotry - someone who stabs his own friend of 30 years in the back. A friend who hired him for a top position, helped him make millions of dollars, celebrated Holi and Diwali with him. Chetan Narsude disgraced all Dalits by his actions.

I think this CISCO incident is a wake up call for the Hindu community worldwide and America in particular. Sundar uses the term 'irreligious' to refer to himself almost with a certain sense of pride. For one, this term, apart from indicating a general disinterest in religion, also connotes a hostility towards it as the dictionary defines the term. Its almost like a Freudian slip on his part given the pride many Hindus (particularly the ones who are educated and successful) take in distancing themselves from the religion - spiritual culture of their ancestors! It is the colonised mind on display, which needs to cloak its origins and belief systems in order to integrate into a foreign non- native milieu. A very high price to pay for success and acceptance sadly! However though he still talks about 'ethics' and 'truth' despite claiming no religious affiliation to any community or creed. This concern with righteousness comes from his deep dharmic roots that he fails to see. This is the real tragedy of this CISCO episode as the world refers to it. It is high time the global Hindu community reclaimed the uniqueness of our spiritual- cultural heritage without shame or embarrassment. It (Sanatana Dharma) is the only one that has the emotional, intellectual and psychological resources needed to bring a sense of purpose and proportion to the troubled times we live in. Hinduism needs to become more visible and lived. There are forces out to take it to extinction. And , sadly, the secular, rational and irreligious among us are aiding this, albeit blindly !

Seems like a bogus case. The John Doe filled out of jealousy or influenced to receive ‘payouts’. What’s the point of complaining about not getting a position? And then associating that with discrimination? What if John Doe wasn’t capable of the position? It’s a private company, and a private company has the right to decide whom they can promote and not promote.

This is more of a trust issue than caste issue. John Doe must have been promised multi million payout if they win the suit but now he will have a hard time finding even a dalit friend going forward. People will think twice before getting into any business with such guys.

Sundar seems to be a genuine and honest man but Brahmin groupism does happen in companies. I worked for an MNC and Brahmins in management roles practiced discrimination. They systematically demotivate others and promote most employees from their community.

No doubt Sundar Iyer is a castiest person because he has seen the caste of the persons working with/ working under him and given the positions. A non castiest approach would be to go ahead without giving any weightage of the worker's caste - whether he is an upper caste or a lower caste.
