cgdi sells the AT200 WHICH WILL READ AND WRITE AS LONG AS YOU PAY FOR THE ADD ONS TO DO SO I ALSO HAVE THE AUTEL IM608 AWESOME TOOL MERCEDES BMW BUT DME SWAPPING IS A BIT OF A TRICK ON SOME BMWS BOSCH DME'S ARE EASY TO WORK WITH SIEMENS ARE A PAIN IN THE ASS BRO I AM ALSO A PROGRAMMER AND LOCKSMITH AND DIAGNOSTIC TECH ON LONG ISLAND NEW YORK,MY SHOP IS IN HEMPSTEAD NEW YORK
It depends on what you are doing... If you are making keys for a FEM or BDC, ACDP is by far the easiest, if you are trying to read the ISN from the DME, usually CGDI has more coverage... I had a CAS4 that I swapped the DME, nothing wanted to change the ISN in the CAS module.. ACDP said it changed the ISN, but it didn't change it to the correct ISN.. CGDI changed the ISN in the CAS back to the original and then when connected directly to the DME it read and then changed the new/used DME's ISN to the cars ISN.. fired right up...
Had same issue with MSV80, problem was unless I had HEX password it would give same error. Read ISN through OBD to obtain password and entered it in to continue to read/write with ACDP jigs.
On the ACDP if you go under obd and choose msd85 help menu it shows a different way of connecting it. It shows just like the CGDI. Maybe that will work
I tried that too... no work... My issue is all I have gotten from ACDP is, buy the boards, and then try the windows PC software.. I did both of those and it still won't work.. As I said before, I love the solderless connections, but if it doesn't work, I'd rather solder on...
@@timtracy9442 YOU KNOW WHAT DUDE THE BEST BMW TOOL IS THE MICROTRONIC AUTO HEX OTHER THAT ISTA-P ISTA-D ONLINE WITH THE NEXT VCI WORKS AWESOME, MY NEXT PURCHASE IS GOING TO BE THE AUTO HEX FULL BUT IT WILL SET YOU BACK 7000 BUCKS BUT IT WORKS EVERYTIME
Hi Tom, reading isn't the problem... And the Autel IM608 is awesome.. it read a MEVD1767 that niether ACDP or CGDI would read the ISN.. watch for that video soon..
I ALSO WANTED TO SAY THAT I TO BOUGHT THE ACDP AND ENDED UP SENDING IT BACK BECAUSE IT STOPPED WORKING AND STARTED SPAZING OUT ON ME I SENT IT BAK TO UHS HARDWARE IN FLORIDA AND GOT A FULL REFUND THAT TOOL IS FUCKING JUNK,IF ANYTHING XHORSE NEW MINI PROG IS PRETTY AWESOME AND THEY ALSO HAVE SOLDERLESS CONNECTING PCB'S ALSO
Thanks for the info on the Mini Prog... I need to check that out .. Have you seen what NASTF is doing?? They are partnering with a couple of companies to setup a programming service for garages.... They will have one tech in the garage who is checked, not sure if that means background check like the rest of us have and pay for, or if they are going to say, yea, he or she seems ok.... I do more programming than anything nowadays, maybe that will be coming to an end...
@@victor35ma If you are talking about the issue with calculating CS, Component Security, that really is out of there hands... All the aftermarket programmers were using a backdoor into the Ghecko server, the server that ODIS relays info to.. They, VAG, shut down the backdoor and now everyone is trying to figure out how they can calculate data without the hookup to the server... When will it get fixed, who knows.... But I do have to give Abrites credit, they were the ones who figured out how to read and preprogram chips way back in 2010, so if anyone is going to crack this, I have high hopes they will... Just remember, mercedes DAS3 came out in 1998, when did the aftermarket figure out how to make keys for this system?? 2013 I was sitting in a class in poland at MBE's head office learning how to get data out of EIS's and then calculate keys... this stuff takes time..
Waste of money because cdgi or acdp can’t do a ca key and write dme sk to a cas3+ to do a dme change on a msd dme crazy I had to go help someone with cdgi wanted to change isn in cas3+ 116 BMW X5 e70 can’t do it or change vin it says it’s changed but it’s not
@@timtracy9442 with mine, in bench mode you have to have the tricore password to read (case open with solderless adapter). When in OBD mode the ACDP connected to OBD connector on car or on bench OBD harness (case closed) it reads.
