@@ajaxsakaraplayz4070 I’m referring to the fact that many emperors in Chinese history killed the generals who conquered the land for them after their dynasty was established, because they were afraid that the generals / war heroes commanded too much influence over the military and could potentially launch coups.
@@AbsoluteZero6714 You know, this actually puts Torres goal in a new light. Remember he was under house arrest for disseminating dangerous political ideas likely stemmed from his experiences at Comberth Harbor and the Alicorn for encouraging soldiers to view their own lives as expendable for Erusea. The idea of a brave 300 men giving their lives to end the war in a decisive blow. This is what is truly frightening is it creates a military that will under no circumstances surrender even if faced with the annihilation of their state.
Captain Torres: *Going on about telling David how he had to shoot at an enemy ship thirty kilometers away during a storm.* Trigger: Hey I know you're in the middle of your story and everything but lemme flex my skills really fast. *Trigger then proceeds to fly through the hangar of the Alicorn*
I really love how in the end went Wiseman tells them the next operation is in 32 hours everyone says their "trademark" phrases xD ... *sigh* rest in piece Wiseman...
Somewhere in Bandai Namco HQ, the following statement is written on the wall as their motto for AC games, and no one can tell me otherwise: "A powerful pilot, a powerful jet, powerful ammunition! Add to that lots of furballs and the perfect soundtrack! Then, sprinkle a good story over all of it, and the formula is complete!"
Haha you're singing Submarine Odyssey - A Matias Torres Story made by Spare 6 Keystone :D ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zebj7NyDrrI.html
hmm... a powerful pilot Monarch, a powerful jet PW-MK1, powerful ammuntion the BML-U with a railgun and AOA, a furball showdown over the bering strait, the Perfect soundtrack showdown, A good story project wingman, and there you have your perfect story.
26:50 That ending is perfect. The mission starts slow, hits its climax with the chorus basically screaming and Torres laughing as he envisions his plan, then it all ends with a flight by sunset, to a calming rendition of the main theme, and that satisfying ping of ‘Mission Accomplished’.
Nah its BLAZE. He took down 2 super submarine class, 1 giant space station and a freaking arcbird. Without the aid of his nation even end up as a rouge squadron. Lead the united nation air force.
let's just say, every Ace is awesome. Cipher, Mobius, Blaze and Trigger. all of them are the pillars of this Ace Combat saga and thanks to those 4 we have so many memories that we gather trough our childhood towards our future, we'll always remember them with a smile on our face saying "Dang, that was a hell of a pilot" (idk, maybe?)
@@isabelle2670 I know you don't mean anything by it, but I just wanted to point out that Cipher is indeed a guy. Pixy refers to Cipher as "him" at the beginning of the game.
@@isabelle2670 I agree. I think part of it is how a lot of the stories are told through the actions of the protagonist, and how those action impact the world and the people they encounter.
I feel like the Alicorn Hunt is basically the Streangereal version of the Royal Navy’s hunt for the German battleship “Bismarck” in WWII Think about it: -Enemy naval vessel that strikes fear into Allied navy -Determined Captain -Both vessels fight to their last firing gun battery -Both vessels had the biggest guns of any naval vessel in their fleets -both vessels were killed by ONE PLANE
Not even close. Bismarck wasn't killed by a plane. It took two torpedo hits from two separate flights of Fairy Swordfish torpedo bombers to cripple him (yes, him. Apparently Bismarck was referred to in the masculine.) and a fleet engagement with two of the Royal Navy's battleships to sink him. Even after all that, it was his crew that sent him to the bottom (it was proven that Bismarck was scuttled after taking severe battle damage whilst surrounded and being actively bombarded by Royal Navy warships.) If anything, the Alicorn Hunt is closer to Tom Clancy's The Hunt for Red October (Ten Million Relief Plan has several references to this novel and its audiovisual counterpart (the movie starring Sean Connery as Captain Marko Ramius), including a quote from Count referring to a famous scene from the film.)
My wife calling from my in-laws' house: "Honey, it's me. Can you come over?" Me:"I can't, boo; I'm working in the sub underwater." My wife: "But I'm home alone~" Me: 16:16
Inb4 Torres is just Captain Ramius from Hunt for Red October, but he actually did loose his shit, has railguns, and 100% wants to cause mass casualties
I wonder if there will be more Ace Combat DLC missions or are we done. I mean they could be working on the next game as well!!! Well because they said your next missions in 32 hours there should be more DLC tbh! But either way a good as game with lots of content. I could imagine the next DLC or update allowing for coop story or PVE or both thatvwoukd be cool and quite epic. In terms of actual content, I'm not sure what else they could do. We won the war. There is piece. Maybe someone on your side who starts the next war or better yet i,d rather have the introduction of Aliens or some weird type of sentient flying ships. I think it would be cool to see something like that in ace combat.or even more killer Drones. Except they don't just target bases they target the world.....
@@WithyBog Awww. Then. :( Oof. I wonder what the next plot will be for Ace Combat, More Rogue pilots? Outer Space? Full on Apocalypse and Destruction. What if they did something like War Thumder where it was about tanks and infantry as well as air.
@@OPTIMUMELITE A lot of theories have been going around that project aces will either make their next AC game be in space somehow. That or a remaster or remake of ace combat 4, 5 and zero. But that could all be wrong so take it with a grain of salt.
It's incredibly ironic that he slaps you, the player, in the face with the reality that you and Torres are no different because you intend to save 1 million lives for the cost of 300 and only an incredibly thin veil of morality separates you two in their intent. Right up until his death when he proclaims that what Torres will be remembered for was a clean shot on a difficult target which ended the war and saved millions. Which you then deal in kind to him, immortalizing 3 strikes as a hero and, ironically dooming anchorhead head bay, primarialy through assassinating the military leadership, to the anarchist violence and costing millions of more lives by prolonging the war in the first place
Except the 300 are the ones that want to kill the 1 million in the first place, even after they've "surrendered" and tried to trick us into letting them shoot it off in the first place. There is no moral ambiguity here. At all. Torres doesn't even care about the results, he just wanted to relive the glory days by hitting the shot. You could tell by his attitude after trying the first shot, with his maniac laughing, and his talk about landing the shot being "beautiful".
@@Alphay01 There is tons of moral ambiguity imho, Torres was entirely justified and if succeeded the war would have ended much sooner and without the world satellites getting taken out in the process. I cannot stress enough that significantly more people suffered worldwide from the wars prolonging and data blackout
The funny thing about "Ten Million Relief Plan", is that the Chessboard scene heavily implies that the Canonical "Default" Plane flown by Three Strikes is the F-15... Which is also the canonical Plane used by many of the Aces we play as, ranging from Cipher, to Mobius One. In fact, the Odd Duck of the Aces in Ace Combat has so far been Blaze, who canonically flew the F-14 by default. Then again, the plane used in the scene, was likely a Placeholder.
So, basically hit the biggest railgun from head-on. Playing this right now. Btw, the Morgan looks dope with that skin. I know it's from some villain in an AC game I never played (only played this and AC2), but yeah.
Don't you see? Yeah I see something. I see a madman that brandwashed and condemned 300 souls to follow you into the dark abyss below. That's ALL I see.
Moe I have a question if you kill a ace and restart from a checkpoint does it restart it I mean if you load from a checkpoint will you lose the ace kill?
just played at normal difficulty level and was much more difficult to beat thea Alicorn, launching lasers, missiles, non stop, and the canion much more resistant
@@mystyle_jm8997 those weaponry can be fitted but it would need a massive amount of power and since Alicorn are equipped with miniature Stonehenge, it would take a lot of space to generate a lot of power and the cannon are equipped with mini nuke as ammunition so it's more than enough. The main goal for Torres is a weapon that can be disguised and since Alicorn are fitted with miniature Stonehenge, he doesn't need any kind of unconventional weapon of mass destruction. And again with during that time Osean and Erusea already at war and only small time for Torres to prepare for his mutiny, I think that's enough already.
