I think they have a reason to use the X-49 combat theme from ace combat 3 during the Carmilla boss fight. Perhaps the butterfly master is a girl who can control aircrafts with her brain, like Rena from ace combat 3.
You're right. From what I've heard, Camilla uses a modified COFFIN system on her many CFA-44s. Looks like it's remote control or something. You know the COFFIN system is sort of like a VR system, right? It's on the ADF-01A, ADF-01F, the Forneus, that one ugly 4-engine plane, and maybe one more. These are off the top of my head.
Duck360Gaming2 Same here, just about. I remember getting AC4 with my PS2. My parents knew I loved aviation so I guess they just saw the cover art and picked it up. Even today, I think AC4 and 5 might actually be my two most favorite games of all time.
I haven't played Infinity yet but I guess they reused AC4 briefing song... And that B7R reminds me of good ol' Zero. The song reminds me of another Ace Combat series too. And I guess Namco loves the name Sky Eye for the AWACS name..
Damn you are good. Seeing that you've played this for 13 years, do you have any tips for piloting? I used to play ac4 on my dusty ps2 and I wasn't ever really good at it. Nowadays I'm trying to revisit a bit of childhood and I almost feel ashamed at how bad I am.
Long range comms from within the area in the original strangereal universe by handheld was next to impossible if an airman was downed in the area. I don't know about the Nevada mountains but the terrain isn't exactly radio friendly. But when you are in a jet in the sky its a non issue relatively speaking. Radar is different from radio communications. It operates almost in the same principle but is still fundamentally different. Ship-to-ship comms between aircraft also aren't affected by terrain when flying at high altitude. A system can be damaged in battle but modern airforces usually have ways around this problem when trying to get an injured bird back to base. I guess what I'm trying to ultimately say is that it really only effects hand held radio communications, while the aircraft systems aren't effect much if at all. It isn't like the mountains are generating an electromagnetic field that also somehow knocks out aircraft comms and radar systems selectively, if those systems are effected then you can guarantee it is messing with the totality of the aircraft including flight controls...meaning you'd have a dead plane. Up shit creek without a paddle so to speak. This actually is a pretty believable situation to be honest. Geography and composition... got to love science.
Is the campaign even worth buying? I'm pretty much at my wits end with the online multiplayer constantly throwing me out of every match halfway through because my connection with the host was lost or something like that and the fact that it just doesn't want to work period as of late...
Every video of this mission has people using high-level end-of-tree planes. That's boring. I can do this without much trouble in my Level 5 F-4E Phantom II. I need to post a video of it sometime.
Duck360Gaming2 That's not too hard to believe. Forgive me if this sounds backhanded but I think in a PvP dogfight player skill has a lot more to do with who wins than the plane that's used. I've seen people use the A-10 in the PvP dogfight mode and win too.
Really hate how they fucked up with the underwing and bay radar missiles... in 4, 5 and Zerno you would have them fall ad activate after a while like in reality, so if you wanted to shoot them straight away you'd just go upside down and fire... in this one the missiles will just clip through your plane...
Figured. I never played 6 but when watching a video it feels this and 6 have the exact same mechanics, unchanged engine (or at least version). I along with many others got left behind on PS1, PSP and PS2. Devs screwed up making it xbox exclusive. So this is an attempt to revive it all... I was so looking forward to it, specially when they advertised it as a Free to Play, even said single player campaign will be free to play without the fuel bulshit. After it was released, it was all lies. A man arrives from work, plays 5 minutes a day of the game... If they wanted money they sould have sold the game normally... this is Pay to Play... or a new type W2P (Wait 2 Play). But apart from that, it's just an awesome game.... it's the only PS3 game I play nowadays, (apart from a few occasions with other games), since I'm usually on PC now.
Why are they using the name edge in this, why is b7r in america now ? What did they do to my favourite series of games... Wheres Belka, Osea and Yuktobania ?
TheCrashingkid I dunno but I think ACI next plan is releasing T-50 and F-22 SPs, not sure but nothing much left, we just don't have an SP of typhoon and F35b, also some attackers so I recommend waiting .... go JR it's good
