For does of you wondering if PJ survives or not, at 16:02 you can see part of PJ's F-16 with the Crow emblem on it and flowers that are placed there. Which most likely confirms that he's dead.
"Yo Buddy, still alive ? And thank you friend, see you again." When I first saw this scene at the end of this insane game, with this crazy soundtrack, it brought tears to my eyes. This Ace Combat is the most emotionnal to me. Thanks to the devs.
When Pixy said "This twisted game needs to be reset", I thought my console was going to reset as he finished his sentence. That would have been some creepypasta stuff right there.
You and I are opposite sides of the same coin. When we face each other, we can finally see our true selves. There may be a resemblance, but we never face the same direction.
The Battle between the two greatest Aces of Ace Combat. Cipher vs Pixy... All held the finite and infinite as unrelated For none could foresee that the history of the two would become one. Without beginning or end, the ring stretches into the infinite. Subscribed.
HekateMGO Perhaps not. For all of Mobius One's accomplishments, there is definitely a case to be made that Cipher was the Ace of Aces, given the number of Belkan ace squadrons he took on, and all in an F-15C rather than an F-22A.
+TheScania1991 Well, I really wanted to know what happened to him. I can guess he ejected and parachuted after his F-16 was shut down, and maybe rescued later, It would be much better if they did an Interview with PJ about his unique experience with Cipher. it's not really Important, it remains a good scenario.
Does anyone else feel that Cipher is more of an entity than a real person? Like the legend of King Arthur. He is ephemeral in nature and only appears for a short time. Maybe that’s why the interviewer never found him? Once the war was over his work was done and he faded away to never be seen again until he is needed. I say this because Cipher is seen more like an image than a person in this game, more people care about what he represents than what he was like as a person… maybe he wasn’t really there as a person at all. Also the fact that Pixy lost his parents to war while they were fleeing it, if you play as a mercenary you kill civilians fleeing war just like before, a true demon lord. And finally…did you ever notice that at 28:08, when the camera spins around as he flies over, he completely disappears as if he was never even there?
It's like most of the ace combat games. These pilots show up. Do the impossible. Turn the tide and win the war only to vanish shortly after. But it seems like Cipher. The Demon Lord of the Round table quite literally vanished after the battle with Pixy. Razgriz and 3 Strikes we know what becomes of them after the conflict. Garuda return to their peaceful lives after the war is concluded. Mobius is also another but we never really know where they went after the collapse of Megalith. I could go on and on with the protagonists of every game but we've all learned one thing is Ace combat. "Heroes really do exist."
This is definitely one of the most unique games that I've ever played. It's crazy how a game with aerial combat as the focal point can have a story, music, and characters like this.
This is amazing. This was one of my favorite games as a kid, and now looking back a it from a nostalgic (but also critical) point of view I find it awesome once again! It will always be a precious classic to me.
I remember when i finished this game... and once i experienced that ending, i was crying because of how heart braking it was to find out your own wingman had become a betrayer.
Cipher became Blaze, then became Mobius one, then became scarface one and then became Garuda one... I don't know... maybe all of them are the same person. An ace. He does not wants glory.... He just wants to fly eternally on the inmense skies, He fights because he has to, The world was torn and someone must fix the strange real world. That true ace just dies and reborns from the flames of war... He wants to fly because that's the way he's free!!
I'd wish we could have Mobius1, Cipher (Galm1), Blaze (Razgriz1), and Talisman either fight a giant super-mega-weapon together or fight against each other, or one or two of them be the last bosses in some future AC game.
In terms of a canon story meeting, they will never fight each other as it would mean some of the protagonist aces would have to become bad guys. An obvious alliance would also be unlikely beyond little easter eggs, such as the radio calls at the end of AC6 where Mobius and Galm Team are mentioned. But we do have plenty of none-canon bonus missions where they fight each other. The final Ace of Aces mission in Ace Combat 6 throws just about every ace you could imagine at Garuda 1.
JENS DAEMS I don't think it really means anything. Just an easter egg. What would make you think he wasn't alive though? Cipher vanished after the Belkan War, but so did Blaze in Ace Combat 5.
If anything, the original Razgriz was Cipher, he started as a demon by being a mercenary of war, as a demon, he turned the tide of battle of the Belkan war, as he went through, the Demon “died” the moment the 7 nuclear war heads went off, as it marked the end of the Belkan war officially, but he was “reborn” as he fought AWWNB, this time, as a great hero to stop more senseless genocide by stopping the group and the V2
Glad to see that many people see this as more then a game but also a story of an ace and a hero. This will always go down as a great milestone in my play station 2 journey so to speak.
It could be possible. The Belkan War took place in 1995. The War on the Usean continent took place in 2005. Its a fifty-fifty chance i think. I always have thoughts like the storys could be connected eo each other. Remember Mission 10 on Mercenary. Heartbreak One is flying on the southern end of operation airspace. And its told in AC5 that he was flying back then. Maybe it's possible that Cipher went on to become Mobius One. Think about AC5, 26.mission, wenn Mobius one appears ;)
I'm not sure I would particularly like the idea of the characters being super-natural beings that just appear and disappear. I mean, it's not like there is enough years between games for a person to be re-incarnated, (as in born again, Link in Legend of Zelda style). But there are other things to consider. Like the ending to AC04 where the boy, now a man many years later, is writing a letter to Mobius One.
Man, I didn't expect the FMV cutscenes in an Ace Combat game. Cool stuff, though, loved the acoustic guitar, too, awesome music. This was quite a ride!
Ahh the memories... As a side note, I kinda wish AWWNB and their V2 existed to clean up the mess in a certain part of the world right now so that THEY can start over from "zero" and entrust the future to the next generation.
Whenever I see the Epilogue, no matter which Ace style you choose, it always gives a very bittersweet feeling to the point where you feel like crying. The bittersweet feeling is, "You ended the Belkan War and saved humanity from a nuclear holocaust, but at what cost? Losing your wingmen, witnessing the consequences of your actions in the form of interviews with your adversaries, and, most importantly, dooming Strangereal to a cycle of major wars breaking out every four or five years." Especially after hearing Pixy say, "The world won't change for the better unless we trust people. Trust is vital in a peaceful world. But that will never happen..." It is bittersweet to depressing, if you think about it. EDIT: In fact, a line from an old documentary series titled _Hunters in the Sky_ summed it up best: "The vanquished mourn; the victors celebrate. A weight has been lifted from the planet. For a moment, there is no peril in the skies. That moment will be all too brief. But still, it is a moment to cherish."
Pixy's "Have you found a reason to fight yet ? Buddy." just shocked me when i heard it the 1st time. I knew he would come back against Cipher, but still... His last moment appearance is the best. The narration and story of ACZ is the best i've seen in the ACE series (In my opinion, i know all of them got good stories and stuff. Except assault horizon).
I believe that the Project Aces team don't want to ever label any of their Strangereal aces with real names. I think what they're trying to say, when telling these stories with faceless protagonists, is that it really CAN be anybody that changes the world. I believe that Zero is the best game they've made to portray this, because everyone dehumanizes Cipher, giving him the titles Demon Lord, Galm (mistranslation of a Norse god's name), but in reallity, he was just another man in a jet.
I wonder what date that interview took place with Palmer, Sorcerer 1... Maybe on the same day that the chemical attack happened in Oured..... now that would be a cool little tie in.
This Video takes me back to a beautiful memories with one of my favorite games (in 2010 before I sold the PS2 ). I played the 16th Mission with the Su-27 Terminator witch was my favorite, and these two last missions with the MiG-29 witch I think it's the most suitable aircraft for the #19 Valley of Kings because it can hit 4 ground targets simultaneously..., that facilitate the destruction of underground facilities. and there's no subtitles in the video, it would be better if subtitles were activated.
i agree with u bry, first of all no ace can be another ace because they would be all to old for being a combatpilot and the second thing is that u cant go to an army and say:" Hey, u might not know me, but i want to fly for u, ok?", they will laugh about u instead of letting u join the aircraft
It's really hard to tell which game was better between ace combat 5 or zero. I loved them both but i think zero had a more powerful story and a fantastic ending. Either way i loved both games and will never forget the joy of flying through the skies as two inspirational aces pilots who's actions will always be remembered in legend. Demon of Razgriz and Demon lord of the sky, they are pilots that gave ace a true meaning that we can all respect.
When i play this for first time i was a kid and dont understand english. Now i feel bad for the woman who lost your love! I never have the intendion of cause pain to anyone, to her! I really sorry! 😞
Fair enough, though arguably experienced pilots feeling self pity and guilt could also get shot down. Especially if it's after a while not being in the cockpit.
Well then how was he a rookie in the Usean War as Mobius 1? In my mind, the demon lord is a demi-god who fights in justified wars and then disappears to fight in the next one. In each war he creates a new identity for himself to cover his persona. It is ace combat and there's folklore in it so it's possible. It's not a stretch for blaze, mobius, cipher, garuda, to be the same person. Who knows, the man could really be the son of Athena herself and blessed by her as Pixy put it.
If you would play the games you would see that their missions and story (the little that both had) are almost identical and also, Namco Bandai said it themselves that fans wanted to see a remake of AC4 so they tried to do it with AC6 without making it an actual remake
I'm inclined to agree (though AC6 is my favourite). From a gameplay perspective, I didn't like the lack of return lines in AC5, nor that you couldn't choose different special weapons.
I found another clip of this fight with Track from Metal Gear Rising: Revengence OST “It Has To Be This Way” This Song is played at the End of the Game when Raiden the Cyborg Ninja faces off against Colorado Senator Steven Armstrong ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KkVdTbIPIto.html
Might be late, but i still answer. In Soviet Union there was no just thing as Use of something by license (because Communism, no private property), and because of that, when you want to use any soviet vehicle in game, it's either the owner will not understand what kind of license you talking about, either there will be no owner.
_Zero_ stands in sharp contrast to all the other music in the game, which is normally decent, but mostly unobtrusive. _Zero,_ on the other hand, practically synchronizes with the battle, as Cipher and Pixy engage in the final dogfight of their respective careers...against each other.
What does the cryptic message mean? (The gate to the new world has been opened. My soul shall be the wind that enters that gate. When the sleeping king awakes, My soul, too, shall surely rise.)?
i never played ac4 much, never owned a copy long enuf to finish the game. but wasnt there a civilian pilot called nagase in one of the missions? Perhaps her strange flight style which bartlett alludes to, is perhaps her tedency to fly as if its a passanger craft, or like one, or something. idnno.
