@gheminie THe band would be nothing without those persona's? I believe Kiss sold out Rock in Rio with 144 000 people with Eric and Vinny, who had different make up on. And they still sold out arena's with Bruce and Eric (Carr and Singer). For a true fan it's never EVER been about the make up, it's been about the band playing the music every Kiss fan loves to hear.
@mammo8369 If you get more people at your band's shows than Ace, then you must be in a professional recording band that tours the world and has charted albums, like Ace. For real, can we please see some links to your band and you specifically, some tour itineraries, upcoming tourdates, your band's wikipedia page/Facebook page, your album's chart positions (Ace's last hit #27 on Billboard), anything that can show us that you are in a bigger band than what Ace Frehley is today. Serious, thanks.
KISS died when Ace left this final time, the 2 replacements are 2 subpar hacks, at least Eric Carr and Vinnie Vincent were incredibly talented musicians, but Thayer and Singer are just average at best, plus they had their own identities

FUN to see Ace on this-hahhaha I've been an Ace fan since 1976, and it's amazing how popular he still is. Ace is the king of raw nasty garage band guitar! Young people that see it immediately recognize Ace's amazing style!
ACE FREHLEY is a rock LEGEND! Up there with Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Rush, etc.! Like them or hate them, KISS was a MAJOR rock band in their time, and rocked many a rock fans' world!
If Ace is your favorite, be PROUD! Ace is my favorite too since I first discovered KISS back in 1977 at age 4. If Gene and Paul REALLY believed in Tommy and SInger they would have done right by them and let KISS continue WITHOUT the makeup. Why destroy the history and legacy of the band? Why pretend? Why not let those two guys shine on their own and celebrate that? It all comes down to MONEY and FEAR, the idea that without the makeup, NO ONE would bother to show up and listen to them. SAD

I am glad Ace isn't in Kiss today. It's embarrassing 60 year old men in those outfits. Let it go. If Gene and Paul were real musicians they would be writing sophisticated music at their age. I think Ace's album 'Anomaly' is a great effort. I am happy he is doing his own thing and always remember him back in the day.
LOL at all of you & your wasted energy spent on your so called (I Know Everything) Comments and constant returns here just to bash one another, the fact is Kiss is a OK band....however Gene Simmons' choice to dress up Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer as Ace and Peters characters is a sign that even he ackowledges the band would be nothing without those personas, i find it in incredible bad taste he would stoop to such a tactic..Peter and Ace created them and should be the only ones portraying them
