Damn, watchin this video with some tears in my eyes :0( Since I moved to Europe i miss all these type of Autograph sessions. I bet, no, i'm sure that HALF of these signed records will show up on Ebay!! They will sell them for 4 times the original price!! I wish Ace came back to Europe and did a couple of these signing sessions for us. Millions of Ace-Kiss fans here too and we get nothing!! Lots of Americans over here too that always miss out, like me. Ace fans in NYC, please don't take it for granted that you get to meet him like you did at Sam Ash. We've been waiting 10 years just to see an Ace show!! O well, enjoy your signed items, frame them, and enjoy the music, it's a great album, one of his best records ever!! Rock on & God Bless!!!!!!!
ACE can't go to Europe because of his taxes here. If he had proper management he would get that paid, then go and make some good money spending a month or two out that way. South America the same. He has dollars waiting on dimes all over the world. Straighten his meds out, and go get the bag.
Duuuude YESS I almost took the drive out to meet Ace.. would have been cool to see you too 😆 I’m buying the meet and greet for one of his up coming shows.. the new album is awesome!!!
When I was 10yrs old spinning my "KISS" records in 77' I never thought my favorite band would have a 50yr carreer nor did I think I would be getting new music from my guitar hero Ace Frehley 50yrs later Unlike his former group who decided to end their '50' year carreer without even a mention of their original guitarist Mr.Ace Frehley continues making new music & truly cares about his fans along with his musical legacy. 🍒ACE FREHLEY 🍒 ROCKS FOREVER
I agree & the bald headed fuck behind ace telling everyone to " less chit chat let's keep it moving" what a toad ...$$$$ that's all they care about.pretty average by ace's people.
I clearly saw him talking to some, got pics with some, shook hands with some. If he did it with everyone they would have been there until the next day.
Truth the event was set up to sell records and fans who pre-ordered and attended got the album signed. People think signings are the same as a meet & greet and even those are oftened rushed!
Ace is America's Most Influential Living Hardrock Guitarist and yes it was tough standing out in brutal frigid temperatures for over 4 hours but Im glad I did. I first met Ace in 91 and actually sung the song " She" as He played Guitar at A loft on Crosby street, I also wrote a parody song for him for Christmas that I sung LIVE on Eddie Trunk Radio show . Ace is a Survivor and Rock and Roll personified . I understand the frustration of some Fans who wanted a photo with him , I did too but honestly Not many Rock stars of his status is Signing anything for just the cost of a album....Definitely Nobody in KISS is !! So again continued success to Ace, A True Legend 👍
Ace was a trooper and stayed to sign for everyone who pre-ordered the album and the extra Cds that were also sold at the store. Yes he took some breaks and some people don't understand this was a signing event not a meet & greet
Yeah, I get it, but...I don't know man. I didnt see a whole lot of genuine meeting of fans. Unless I'm off base, I saw what looked to be mindless signing as a marketing ploy for a new album with the occasional kid selfie the same way politicians running for elections kiss babies Look, I know he's old. I know a hot, sweaty music store w shite carpet and 4 hours writing your name isn't exactly comfortable. And I get that plenty of "fans" are likely just there to get signed copies to make $ on. But cmon man. This is a meet and greet! When I go to one of these, I'm investing my time too. I want my idols to know how much of an influence they made on my entire life. How what they created stuck with me, moved me enough to stand a line for hours to get a few minutes(or in this case, seconds) to tell them that. I can't say I see that kind of mutual appreciation here. Still, to be fair, Ace's brand has always been a combination of 3 things- lazy, flashy, and fun. For better or worse, it looks like he accomplished that.
But it wasn't a meet & greet it was an album signing. Albums were pre-ordered and as a bonus you could get them signed. So let's l ball it with amount of people say 600 people were at the event and he took 2 minutes talk per person that's 1200 minutes to get through all the people! So you either sign the item and move it along or not everyone leaves with a signedso it album! So yeah pretty much any crowded signing and I'm going to estimate there were pretty close to 1500 maybe more people at the event ! Now I've been to smaller signings where people.chatted with the person got a couple.items signed and my a picture with them. But I'm talking less than 200 people at a bit more premium of a price! I have also been to signing an got shut out because the person was chatting and taking photos during a set time frame with a strict cut off time. It's a catch 22 for the srtist and fans have different expectations
My copy of the album was missing the free download card that was supposed to be included. I had a card that was blank on both sides. Anyone else had this issue?
Good Afternoon, There are 11 different variants to Ace's vinyl release and 8 of these variants have the same record cover. Can someone please possibly tell me how to conclude which variant is in the album cover? Thank you very much.
Thank you, you are quite right. I will try to contact the record company again. At this event though, there were two variants of the vinyl 1) the BUBBLE GUM 2) the TRI COLOR SPLATTER with a printing of 500 copies each. If possible, maybe some of the commenters here, if they in fact attended the signing, and if they have a copy of each variant maybe they could look on the albums to see if there is some different number on that differentiates the albums... that would be most appreciated. But I will contact the company again. Thank you again. @@JPL1311
I noticed that he didn't give the fans a glance for the most part. His head was always down, he didn't look up once. Just signed without emotion. Pretty bad behavior.
Good Evening, I was wondering if I could receive some opinions with regards to getting an album signed. Is it preferable to: 1) Have the record signed on the outer plastic wrapping - Thus can having it claimed that the record is "Completely sealed" OR 2) Tearing the outer wrapping and having the album cardboard signed - which would probably yield in a "better" signature - Although the record of course WILL NOT be sealed. Thank you.
Actually, most of the people on line had pre-ordered the vinyl album. The rest purchased the cds in the store. There were a lot of people & most bought multiple copies of both vinyl & cds. The store employee even came outside in the cold to tell us that all the store cds were sold out, none left for purchase. So, Ace did really well in sales for that signing. It would have been nice if he interacted with his fans more favorably (he seemed rather “indifferent” & “uninterested” - definitely not “happy” to see us. As if there was someplace else he’d rather have been). I guess, after so many hours of signing multiple items per person, maybe he just got “spent.” Perhaps other fans had more of a favorable interaction, if they got to the event at the beginning (1 or 2pm) than when I finally saw him, at the end (5-6pm) (after freezing on line outside for 2 1/2 hours! )Ace’s interaction with his fans could have been better. Maybe the shirt he was wearing said it all “FUCK IT”…
Ace wouldn't look at anyone... and he was full of sighs. Record and streaming sales aren't as projected. He wasn't very happy. He wasn't part of the Kiss final tour. And put this gimmick album up as his vengeance. Gone are the 70's when untalented guitarists dressing up in drag get recognition
It's simple: the last album he did that really worked well was the debut Frehley's Comet record. Just do that. Ace doesn't work a normal job. He has plenty of time to write songs that are actually good. It's just pure laziness.
Ace has influenced many famous players. Dimebag(RIP) had Ace tattooed on his chest as others have! Go stare at your worthless Tommy Thayer Collection, i'm sure you got Framed photos of Tommy bringing Gene and Paul their lunch!!!!!!!!!!!
@pacoloco4030 there was something wrong with you if anyone was looking at Ace in any idolized way... only a adolescent infatuated with makeup and didn't understand what they were looking at. Ace was super gay Bisexual. You might have saw that but didn't understand what that was. It's a deceptive thing, and back then people didn't talk loudly. Everyone was talking about Eddie. Ace and Eddie were a few years apart but nobody is thinking about Ace
WTF do people expect? There was obviously a few hundred people to get through. His signature takes about 20 seconds by the look of it. Of the sample we saw in the video he seemed to respond if people said something to him. He took some time for the little kid. When the bloke towards the end actually spoke up he got a photo with Ace. If he spent time with everyone they'd have been there until the next day.
@MickC2167 Paul and Gene said he could never make it on thier world tour. They obviously were correct. That's what your missing... that's OK I'll learn you right
