Thank you for your message Ace, The kind words about my father were beautiful. It warms my heart to hear such lovely things about him. I miss him so much still, everyday. My mother and I send our love and well wishes to you, we are so sorry to hear about your back and hope you are not in any pain. Have a wonderful Christmas and we hope 2024 brings you nothing but health and happiness. Thank you too Martin, you have been incredible keeping The Move and memories of my father alive. I am eternally grateful. God bless to both you legends! Jack & Susan Wayne xx

Hi Jack..........we've never met, but I went to Saltley Grammar school with your dad,(knew him as Colin of course), and lived a few hundred yards from where he and his mom ( your nan) lived in Birmingham. I also played bass with the Vikings until Ace took over and introduced him as vocalist to the Vikings when the main singer, Keith Powell, took a holiday.

Merry Christmas, Ace! 🎄 I discovered The Move only a few years ago. But quickly realized the great impact. My favorite video is the live performance is on listed on RU-vid as ‘The Move -I Can Hear the Grass Grow (1967) ‘. Your groovy beats, and slick vocals, dance moves and attitude (behind those sunglasses) are the best parts. “Get ahold of yourself now, baby…”. Love that tune! Your authenticity is what I’ve seen as being your magnetic strength. Surely, what your Dad was referring to. Thank you for the music! Stay groovy! Rock on! ⚡️

My goodness, how did this end up in my feed. So good to hear your still around. I went to your tiny cottage in Inkborogh twice. Once for a party and the other time for a jam. Also your shop "Ragbag" on the hill in Redditch. I doubt you remember as it's too long ago 1972?3 My sister told me Bev got into a fight with her boyfriend over her in the Tyburn house pub after a gig. Jeff's grandma used to visit our house (opposite The Baggot Arms now demolished) in the 60's and I used to walk her home (Springthorpe Rd now demolished) when I got home from school. I still have her photo. Birmingham was a big place but also a small place because everyone knew each other in the music scene. Thanks for posting Chris. Have a Merry Christmas and a happy New year.

I’ve always thought Ace’s solo album, or what little of it there is, is somewhat underrated. His cover of ‘Oh Girl’ was a hit, in my very humble opinion!
