Fun fact : ace on the testing server actually still gives hidden detection it just doesnt show the range like the ace on the main game (i tested it btw)
i still think its gonna remain the same if not better, after all it was still an cost efficiency buff for ace. For ranger, i dont think thats much of a significant nerf (Cmon yall, its like 11 to 10 )
You're acting like the hidden detection buff is actually necessary when the ace itself can take care of the hiddens. To anyone who whines about Lucille strat not being viable due to Electroshockers not having the HD from Ace, y'all should use Turret/Mini instead and drop Electro for another tower
Feel free to disagree, but I don’t get why ranger needs a nerf. 1. In solo fallen, if you use it alone it will die on wave 33 or sooner because of the lack of HD. 2. It alone doesn’t have enough DPS to beat the fallen king. I don’t even think it can even reach wave 39 or 40 before dying. It’s a good tower, but you still need other towers to beat solo fallen. 3. I actually think ranger is pretty balanced in my opinion. What even makes this tower "too OP"? The map-wide range (which kinda gets canceled out by the low DPS), and the stun immunity, which it’s pretty much the dev’s fault for having fallen mode be so stun-heavy that stun immunity is required in one way or another. I think ranger is a perfectly balanced tower in the current meta. It’s never going to carry you in any match, but it helps a lot. I genuinely think that when the devs are doing reworks for other late game DPS towers, they should compare it to ranger. Also, the current ranger is FAR from how LUDICROUSLY OP accelerator in its prime was. Accelerator in its prime dealt too much DPS, yet was still just a minigunner with extra steps, and could handle EVERYTHING except flying enemies. Meanwhile, ranger can’t even handle the hiddens in EVERY GAME MODE. HOW IS IT TOO OP?!?
the dps gap between ranger and end game dps towers like engineer or gmini is not that big,apart from that you can get ranger before you even achieve level 50. The nerf was much needed in order to make end game dps towers be more worth it to obtain
@@anotherraven4625 The DPS gap between ranger & engineer is not insanely huge? What? 7 rangers deal ~1,330 DPS. 6 engineers deal ~2,400 DPS. That’s a pretty big difference to me. Also, as much as it’s controversial, all late game DPS towers in the advanced & hardcore categories need to be equal to each other. This is because you use advanced towers to beat hardcore to get hardcore towers, but there’s nothing after hardcore, so all these towers need to be balanced around hardcore, thus, equal to each other. While accelerator & engineer should probably be better than the advanced towers, they shouldn’t completely overshadow them.
The nerf ace got actually made my old gem grinding strat possible again lol. (80 Gems per 16 mins, 270 gems per hour.) Fyi, the ranger nerf was needed, bro was basically mortar without clusters and deals 1125 direct dmg since they removed the hit limit for ranger in the past 3 updates. Still an S tier tower tho.
I highly believe that these rebalances are in preparation for the Halloween event/possible future content. My guess is that they're nerfing these because the three towers (accel, ace, and ranger) are pretty popular whenever there's an event. So they wanted to slightly nerf them to make the said future content/event be harder, but without changing the enemies themselves.

I dont really agree with completely removing the hd buff for ace cuz many loadouts wouldnt work anymore like using ace and mortar isnt a combo anymore and loadouts cant have as much variety in general
Molten rework has had 0 leaks while the halloween event has had 2 so far. Also the 24th is on a Thursday and not a Wednesday. The devs haven't even mention molten rework in a long time, and they comfirmed the pursuit rework will come out after the halloween update.

Why they nerfing ranger???? What did rnager do to deserve this???? Bro was in a good place, also we need more cliff towers! We have sniper, mortar and ranger (gatling does not count its a hybrid). They did not add any cliff towers since Mortar!
@@leonardotrujillo8661 I meant like decrease his DPS, increase the price on some levels in exchange for better crowd control or better support buff, which is one of the feature most player ignore (like 25% more range in 30s for nearby tower), at max level. This would not create that much of controversy, but still eventually neft ranger.

Nah bro that nerfs seems kinda unfair that towers was balanced and nerfing them is just stupid, i mean ace need a good placement and good micro or he going to be trash not to mention he has a litte worse targeting than normal towers and ranger have the weakness of being able to waste their shots with enemies with less than 1k hp and the explotion was actually balanced because that thing its not that good
G minigunner is not a rival for ace but that its not the problem of ace balance, that is the problem of g mini balance,maybe they should increase the coins cost for ace to stop using excuses to nerf a balanced tower

Ace pilot and rangers are deserved nerf the reason is because they were op much or not or somehow. For ace pilot i have to say it should nerf because the damage is very strong, not to mention ace pilot no longer give hidden detection because no limited time so they decided remove it, I am just disappointed that thing is removed for no limited time give hd like why don't give 10 or 15 second instead removing. Also ranger should deserve nerf because it's cheap for final max (with or without dj) , the damage and explosion damage impact too, yk the placement limits rangers are 7 which are like 9,275 or 9,800 damage if you combine the damage and explosive impact damage .With buff from mercenary, dj booth and damage flag are around 10k or 11k or 12k damage ranger . That's the most high damage. So that's my opinion about the nerf ranger and ace pilot
now ace is just useless like you remove the one unique thing about ace pilot, which it always had ever since i think when it was released RIP ACE PILOT, you will be remembered and missed. unless of course, the person who sent you the ace pilot nerfed is using a tower that already has been upgraded to hidden detection, as for ace pilot only towers that already have hidden detection will not show on the tower 100% hidden detection.

You completely ignored the fact that ranger has 50 range, stun immunity, and gives a 15% range buff. Nerf honestly deserved, and either way he's almost the same as Lunar Overture ranger but with 50 less damage
